This is the 2nd mod ive built, Shell cost me $1.25,(OTC or dollar store) atty connector $2.50, switch .79, resistor .13(madvapes.com) LED, wire, solder i had so I wont include that in the cost. 5V regulator was a free sample from TI. So not including the batteries I have a $5 mod. This mod uses 2 - 3.7 Volt 14500 Trustfire protected batteries.
Lets get to it, shall we?

Then just snap it back together. The screw will hold it together but isnt good for long term. I would recommend tape, JBWeld or super glue to make it a little sturdier. A long drop on to a hard surface would be fatal for a mod like this Im afraid as the plastic is pretty thin.

I put some tape around the handle part because it was just too much pink for me.
I couldnt wait for the paint to post this mod. I will post pics once its painted up nice.

Hit's like a champ. Happy I finally got an LED to work. More LED's will be in future mods for me.
Thanks Connman, again I wouldnt have been able to do something like this without the wiring help you have given me.

Nice color. :) Hopefully it's your wife's mod.

Seems you had room to put a decent switch in there as opposed to the 50mA one you chose. Depending on the atty the switch can be asked to handle almost 2000+mA of current. That's maybe 40 times what it's rated for.

You also need to solder your reg connections. Gotta learn sometime.

And running at 5V that atty connector is gonna get hot, I'd use more than 'a small amount of JB Weld'. That cheap styrene plastic will start to deform.

That's maybe 40 times what it's rated for. I have a couple of the round button style that will more then handle the output. It just that this one went in so easy. Guess I was just bein lazy. But Ive been vapin it solid for 3 days now, no problems.

You also need to solder your reg connections. Gotta learn sometime. Will I fry the regulator if I solder to close or get it too hot in the process?

So far so good on the atty connector. I will apply more JBWeld if I see it starting to deform but so far so good.

Cute mod.
I too would be worried about the switch burning out and without a master switch you have no easy way to kill it.

Actually, if you look at step 4, it would only take a flick of my finger to slide off the bottom to the battery case which would instantly kill the power. Im not concerned about this switch. Its held up to solid 4 days of vaping. Besides, since its small, if it ever does burn out I could just remove it, make the hole bigger and add in a button switch.
