I like the VX2-M kit so much that I've ordered another. I vape a lot and I fear that I'll just kill my VX2 much too fast if I don't have 2 or 3 PV's to alternate between. Therefore, I have also ordered the DSE601 epipe......can't wait to try that steam train! I think it will satisfy my heavy cravings and allow me to have all my VX2 supplies prepared for when I'm out and about.

So far, I've noticed that the VX2 brings out the flavor of my juices UNTIL the atomizer gets really hot from all my "power-hauling". Once it's really hot, I can't taste much flavor anymore until it cools down a bit. I've also noticed that I get better flavor when I let the batteries sit awhile after charging. In other words......IF I put the batteries into usage IMMEDIATELY after charging, I get a lot of heavy "bite" from the hits, yet with minimal flavor from my juice. Does anyone else concur with me on this? Perhaps I'm not charging my VX2 batts for the correct amount of time???????

Agreed, there is definitely a difference. I notice that a freshly charged AUTOMATIC battery is more likely to give a smooth flavorful hit/drag; while a MANUAL battery needs to be discharged slightly before giving you that nice smooth flavor. The manual batteries can give you a few very harsh, nasty hits before the really good smooth flavor comes along. Sometimes I find myself "powerhauling" on it, when all I need is a tiny hit to get the nice flavor. As the battery discharges further, I need to take very long hits, with very low draw. It's still a bit fickle, but hopefully I'll have it mastered sometime this year. Perhaps you've surmised that I'm not real big on patience LOL

And I do find myself "powerhauling" occasionally too. I find, for me, it's usually about the time I need to change the battery though.
My husband laughs at me because every time I get that first drag off of a fresh battery, I'm all like... Ahhhh, nothing like a fresh battery! LOL

I prefer the auto batteries most of the time. I only use the manuals if I'm outside. They're great for these slightly breezy summer nights sitting outside with an ice cold beer and some RY4 (Shawn's of course)... or a Mojito, or a Captain & Coke.... :hubba:

Oh man, I picked up a Kensington power supply and just received my USB passthru from Shawn today...I'm in vaping heaven! I'm new to e-cigs and have only used the J118 (VX2), but I can't imagin anything better than this. With all the flavors I've got (vaping chocolate now) and that yummy RY4, this is so much better than smoking analogs!

The list would be long if I mentioned every little trinket, but I'm starting to understand the whole proccess just a bit better and what it takes to make this all work well.

I THINK I might be overcharging my batts at times, which has adverse effects on performance. It gets the atty too hot too fast, which DESTROYS all the flavor (very HARSH hits).

Also, I am noticing that my automatic battery usually does produce smoother flavor than my 3 manual batteries. That MIGHT be because the power consumed by the atty is somewhat variable on the automatic battery (depending how hard you draw on it), while the manual batteries just give you full power to the atty no matter how lightly you draw. This is where the effects of overcharging come into play.

Also, stuffing carts has to be done just right with no long stray fuzzies or fibers sticking out. Juice flows through the cart stuffing just like the wick in an oil lamp IF/WHEN it's done right. I get AWESOME PERFORMANCE when I fill my carts from the bottom up, using a syringe & needle. It ensures that ALL the stuffing gets well soaked, which produces a much smoother flowing "wick".

I'm DYING to try that DSE601....can't wait to get it!

I guess you could say I'm jumping into vaping real fast, because by the end of my 2nd week vaping, I'll have two VX2-M kits (plus spare parts & passthrough) and a DSE-601 epipe.

I guess you could say I'm really LIKING THIS. I've not smoked an analog since last Saturday.

THANKS 4 the fast service Shawn!!!!!!

:)

I usually take some tweezers and lift the wick just slightly above where the cart ends. That helps, somewhat. But lately I've been using other vapers.

I'll have to try that straw mod

Oh, by the way, I got some Clove e-liquid today -- WOWOWOWOW! I'm in love with this stuff!

If you've never tried the clove, you have to get some immediately. I like it more than RY4
