Hi Everyone!

There is a ton of good advice on this forum and I am not sure I would have succeeded without it. Thanks ECF!

I wanted to rundown my first 4 weeks as a vapor.

I found out about e-cigs from a friend and we decided to try it. She got some crappy (not looking to bash) PV and stopped smoking analogs in 1 weeks. I was very impressed and decided to try.

I was a 1 pack a day Marlboro mediums smoker for 15 years. I never tried to quit.

Week 1: Ordered a greensmoke starter kit and case. Total $160. While I was waiting for this to arrive, I started doing proper research. I realized that I screwed up (again not looking to bash, but doing get greensmoke!) and started looking at their return policy. The kit arrived 2 days later, and on my first day I went from a pack to 7 cigs.

Week 2: Shipped my greensmoke kit back, and received a greencig kit with PCC from nhaler. This was great and I went to about 2 cigs a day. During this week I also ordered an 808d-1 kit, blank cartos and juices. Joined ECF and learned there is more to vaping then just cartos.

Week3: Stopped analogs completely. Ordered a Riva 901. Got a sore throat that hurt really bad when I vaped. Panicked, and thought I will end up back on analogs. More research on ECF. Realized that I am vaping wrong. its not an analog, inhale in to your mouth first, enjoy the flavor, add some air and then inhale in to your lungs. Also, figured out that pure PG is bad early in the morning and late at night for me. vaping got good again.

Week 4: Still analog free. Got the Riva 901 and started dripping juice directly on the atomizer. This completely changed my vaping experience for the better. Use my greencig and 808 on the go, and fill up empty/used cortos with juice. Yes, I do bring both PCCs with me. At home, its only dripping on the Riva.

Week 5: Yes I know this was supposed to be my first 4 weeks, but its day 2 of week 5 and I got an LR (low resistance) atomizer. WOW! I wish I started with a big battery PV and an LR atty from day 1. Great flavor, smoke, and TH with all my juices. The juices that I found to be bland, now taste great. The juices that tasted good before,m now taste amazing!

Anyways, this is my experience as a new vaper at a high level.

i think there is a lot to try and learn about with vaping, but the hardest part of starting is getting through all the crappy PVs and vendors and getting to the good stuff so you can figure out what works for you. I am still trying to find my favorite juice.

Thanks!

PS: My natural next step would be to try a mod, but my fiance (who never smoked, and loves that I am vaping now) thinks that mods are a bit too much.
I'm working on changing her mind. But either way I am a happy vaper who stopped using tobacco products!:p

Congrats on quitting the analogs! yes, the hard part is the first part, buying the first kit and then finding something that really suits you!

As an aside that may help you convince your fiance... NYC taxes $6.85 per pack... that adds up quickly and you can easily justify the cost of a mod when you're saving this kind of money :)

My advice tho... buy an eGo-T!!!
