ive seen several mods for carts and wanted to try one. mainly for the purpose of getting more vapor per puff. ive been using my mod for a few hours now and puff after puff i get consistant large amounts of vapor. here is what i did:

things needed for this are a pair of scissors

i took out the standard cotton like filler from my cart. i cleaned it with warm water then cut into it about 1/4 inch from one end. i didnt cut all the way through but just under half way through it. i did the same thing on the other side. i then cut upwards into it removing the edges of both sides of the filler. i then twisted the tiny amount that was left. it basically looks like the letter "T" now with a 1/4inch piece of filler that sits flush with the end of the cart. this is similar to another mod i seen on here. the other mod doesnt seem like it would work because there is no material running all the way into the cart. with the way i cut it, regardless of what position you hold it in, once the larger end of filler starts getting dry the thin piece that runs into the cart will act as a wick drawing more juice up to the larger area. it has been working perfectly for a few hours now. just thought i would share my idea with all of you.

I'm sure it works a charm, sounds like Highping's 'simple cart mod', a cork of filler just at the end of the cart.

+1, while it might not seem like it should, her mod works really well, too...
Glad your version's working well for you...
I've actually started dripping into a carto, b/c I still can't find anything that lasts more then a few miniutes, maybe an hour (if I'm not chain vaping), before I'm filling it, so with a drip tip on my carto, I can drip 6-7 drops (about as much as I could fit into a cart) and be good for an hour or 2....

not sure what to call it but I have taken the polyfill out,
cut it in half lengthwise
then stuffed it into a small straw about 1/2" long split all the way up
the fill puffs out at the top and bottom
seems to hold more juice and wicks well
think I've tried all mods listed so I combined a few
let me know what you think

im still looking for ways to further improve the cart. i have several ideas floating around. some are much more technical, some are simplistic. one idea would be having a port hole at the opposite end of where i fill the cart that lets air into it so that the juice can flow easily towards the bridge, with this though a valve of some type would be needed on the port hole to prevent juice from coming out. i have tried one other thing too which also works pretty well. i simply took the filler out of another cart, rinsed it and dried it, then using my fingers pulled it apart into little strands. i then gently packed it back into the cart loosely. it didnt use all of the filler either so there is more room inside of the cart for juice. and with it being in the cart loosely rather than uniformly like it comes stock it gives better juice flow. if you try this one thing you will have to do is after you fill it, vape with it a few times then remove the cart again. you will notice that the filler has settled into the cart a little bit. just add a little bit more filler loosely to the end and top it off with juice. i only had to do this one additional time, but check it to make sure it hasnt settled in anymore. im getting really large vapes, and consistant vapes with both carts. hope someone finds this useful!
