For my Joye510 I started with the basics with the addition of a simple 5mm red LED and 100ohm resistor, wired as shown and I LOVE this thing. It gives me a solid and consistant vape and has been for the past 3 hours on my first battery. Definately better than the stock 510 batteries.

Thank You NicoWolf!

Thanks guys.

I've actually been using it for more than 8 hours now and I usually get 2-3 hours out of my regular batteries so it definately is much better. Also, I noticed a consistent vape, that is to say that all my vapes are the same in hit and vapor.

And rather than use epoxy, I used Loctite brush-on superglue and everything is solid in place. Very happy so far!

Well my first charged 14500 battery finally died - time for a recharge. I wasn't sure how long it would last or what I would notice that would let me know it was dying, but all of a sudden the hit and vape both dropped significantly within two hits then nothing.

One thing I noticed is that when it did die that my red LED came on for about 1 second then shut right off. I pushed and held the button again and the same thing, LED lit for 1 second then shut off. At least now I know that my LED will also let me know when my battery is done and time to change it.

My fully charged 14500 started out at 4.22 volts and when I took it out it gave me 3.01 volts. And my battery lasted me 9 hours of pretty steady vaping which is much better than 2.5 hours average with my stock 510 batteries.

Very neat work. You might want to reinforce the batt connector with some clear epoxy though. It's hard to say what the juice may do to your super glue over time.

Your case seems to have a bit of texture to it. Where'd you get it?

FWIW 4.22V is a bit high, < 4.2V is best for longevity.

How to prolong lithium-based batteries

This is EXCELLENT!

TYVM for posting this!

Thanks. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and even prefer using this while sitting at my computer instead of using my Passthru. I'm averaging about 8-9 hours per fully charged battery and it vapes really good up until about the last two when the battery finally dies.

If you have any questions or need help with this, just ask away or PM me.

It is definitely the easiest and cheapest and most effective mod you can start with.

Thanks. I've heard some good and some bad about JC juices but like most things I'll try some for myself as everyone is different.

hey, i dont know much about modding, but its something im interested in.

so dont mind my newbie brain, but what about cellphone batteries?

flat and thin, a cellphone battery or 2 would stack nicely in a case about the size of that, and i know my motorola phone can charge with a usb.

just throwing the idea out incase no ones thought of it.

but hey, the unit you made is NICE, well done!!

Yes you can charge the battery while it's in the phone.
