I'm making a nicostick, but I'm wanting to add an led indicator. I'll link to the Parts I'll be using shortly. What I want is this: I will get a dual color LED with a red and blue lead. The red light will overpower the blue so what I'm wanting it to do is to light blue when in "standby" mode (killswitch on, button not depressed) and red when vaping (killswitch on, button depressed) and of course off when killswitch is off. The parts I'm using are as follows:
2x MadVapes LLC 470 ohm resistors
1x MadVapes LLC Dual color 3 lead LED
1x MadVapes LLC horn style switch
1x MadVapes LLC 2xaa battery box with on/off switch.
1x 510 connector of course....
I've constructed a basic diagram for how I think this should be wired... Here's my diagram:

Will this work the way I want? If any changes please d/l and edit or simply post here and let me know... Thanks for your help, and I'll let you know how it goes once the project is done.

Yes, Your wiring diagram is correct.
It will work that way.
You can also save some room in your box by using the resistor on the ground lead of the led, and leave them off the input leads, that way you only need 1 resistor. Your blue led might be a little dimmer than full bright, but trust me, you will not mind that. All it needs to be is on, brightness doesn't matter. I have used that ground resistor on a 5 volt mod box and it works fine and dandy. It keeps the blue from being annoyingly bright since it is on all the time.

OK, so I'm reviving my own thread for this reason:
The battery boxes I got have the killswitch on the - side and it's confused the crud out of me, and caused a problem in getting the circuit to work.
The red isn't lighting... :confused::confused::(

Here's how I currently have it set up:

I think it's going the path of least resistance, straight down from the momentary to ground without illuminating the red LED.

Thinking this might fix it by wiring it this way, or if not, how?

Any help, once again is appreciated. Thanks.

The negative lead on an that dual LED is the center leg, both the blue and red (outside legs)require a positive connection to work, the inline resistor just drops the current in order to dim it and prolong its life.
Test each leg to ensure the red and blue light illuminate independant of each other.
Hope this helps.

Yea they do. Just the red, just the blue, or red and blue (red then) light up when hot. Another idea how to make it work...

Is this what I need to do?:(

This will work, when you turn on the power switch the blue light will come on. Then when you press the atty switch it will turn red. When you release the atty switch it will go back to blue.
