The big box has two 14500 batteries using the evercool circuit with a TI 8100 regulator and the small one is built on the puck principal, 4 aaa NIMH batteries and all parts bought locally. I think I will call them Skipper and Little buddy. 20111209_aluminum-evercool-mod_0485_1web.jpg20111223_evercool_display_0495.jpg20111223_little-buddy_0491.jpg20111223_little-buddy_0492.jpgskipper-and-little-buddy.jpg

Really great looking mods pnguin. Nice work.
I like the way you squeezed in the DM.
Aluminum is hard to keep shiny. Have you ever tried Simichrome Polish. I used it on my motorcycle alum. parts before replacing to all chrome.
The polish shines alum. to near chrome finish but requires a lot of elbow grease.

Thank you all for the kind words. I stopped at the parts store for some more aggressive rubbing compound to take out the scratches, before I saw your replies. I tired Brasso, the military's choice to polish anything standing still and lots of elbow grease but I think something just for aluminum and chrome will work better. I will go back next week and get some polish.
