Hi

I'm using a Riva 501 and have a problem, my atomisers start to fade almost immediately. After the second or third day there is a noticeable degradation in the amount of vapour produced by my atomiser, and it feels as though it is blocked as I have to inhale harder to feel the air flow. I have tried cleaning them, boiling them, washing them etc but it never seems to yield any decent results. I've tried a bunch of atomisers recommended for use with the Riva 501 from cloud9, and a variety of different liquids from various reputable (and not so reputable) firms but it doesn't seem to make much difference which I use.

Any advice?
Thanks

Could it be your cart stuffing? Sometimes it's the fault of the cart. Get some precut blue foam stuffing for 510 from strictlyejuice.com and try replacing the stuffing in one of your carts with that. The tapered end goes in first. On a full fill, fill the juice cup 1/2 with juice, insert the foam, push the foam down in the juice (a small smooth unbent paperclip is helpful), then use the paperclip to reposition the foam at the top edge of the juice cup. Top off with 2-3 drops of whatever it needs to just look damp. After that you can can tart vaping and just top it off until you think it needs a full fill again.

If you are dripping on the atomizer - how much are you dripping in?

And what kind of juice are you using? Some eliquids will gunk up an atty faster. Ones with oil-based flavorings and ones with high VG and some suspect some juices with dark colorings can gunk up an atty faster.

And what quality are your attys? Have you tried a real Joye atty?

And you can try cartomizers which is where most people who get frustrated with attys end up. Try some Boge soft-cap cartos and on the Riva you could use either standard resistance or the hotter low resistance ones.

thanks for the tips. dry burning... i have it on good authority from 3 vendors (including my first choice, cloud9) that dry burning is one of the quickest ways to kill an atomiser, so i don't do it anymore. i have in the past though and it didn't help (probably made it worse tbh).

unfortunately i'm in the uk so i cannot use the shops you listed, but i'll look around elsewhere. and yeah, i've tried official joye atomisers before with the same results. wish i could get to the bottom of it...
