My Atomizer "sizzles" when turned on

I am using a manual passthrough, and everytime I push the button, my atomizer sounds like it's sizzling. Like if it was boiling water or something.

I blew my atomizer out, and put it back on the battery to see if that stopped the sound, but it still does it.

Is this normal? I never really heard it until now, but I very well could have just not paid attention...

My 510 does it all of the time, although it is not very noticeable unless I remove my cartridge.

I hear a little sizzle maybe when I fill it up to it's maximum with juice (the cartridge). But not after a hit or two. I do hear it all the time on my RN4081.

I love that sounds for some strange reason. Usually that means you have a bunch of liquid in the atomizer, if it sounds almost like it's bubbling. Be careful not to flood your atomizer. On the other hand, my 510 did that for the first few days until I broke it in. How long have you had your PV?

Yeah 510's get that regularly, at least mine did and have seen reviewers note it. I never noticed it sizzling/like a hollow hissing sound on my 901 until i put it on a manual passthrough, which, when i first noticed it i remarked "right on!" I think its fine.

Most of mine do it, especially my Screwdriver and Prodigy PT. As someone else said, it is usually when I fill the cart to max and drip a couple of drops in the atomizer.

For some reason, I like the sound, and usually it tells me I'm going to get a good hit!

It's vaporizing the liquid. I've heard damp analogs sizzle.

Lol 510 here and like others before me I like it! Call it the snap, crackle, pop!!! Usually I get it when I start a brand new clean atty. Guess its louder when it first starts wicking.

I use a Prodigy 801 and rely on that sizzle!! Without the tip I always listen to sizzle to make sure I have good power. When the sizzle gets whimpy I put in fresh batteries. I was told that if you get a sizzle that lasts after you let up on the button that your atty may be a bit too dry.

Yep, Love that sizzle. Music to my ears.

I just got my 510s a few days ago and mine do that as well, especially when I just get done topping off the cart.

On a side note: One of the atomizers actually POPPED when I first tried it. I had the cart off and pressed the button for a second or so and it popped so loud it almost scared the crap out of me. It did it the first couple times I used it. Don't know why it happened, and it seems fine.

On another side note: I tried all of my atomizers when I first got them and they all sizzled (suggesting that they worked) but I have never seen any of them glow red. I thought they are supposed to get red hot? These are the new styles if that means anything. They seem to work fine and I get good vapor.... they just don't get red hot. Is this normal? I never hold the button more than 4 or 5 seconds.

Update: I looked at it again this morning in the dark bedroom and it does get red. I guess it was always too bright in the room before. Duh.....

Sizzling sound means it's hot enough to stick your tongue in it.
5 sec. for rare
8 sec. for med. rare
10 sec. for med.
12 sec. for well done (pull out after 8 sec., rotate atty, re-insert tongue for another 4 sec., and voila! )

I love the sizzle, it means your atomizer is cooking the juice, your batt voltage is up, and you have enough juice in the cartridge, it means all systems are go. I wish they all did it all the time....

as for the red glow - if it's visible, to me it means there's not enough juice.
