I purchased a Provari V2 some weeks ago and I have problems with my vaping. The smoke is so strong and I get almost no vapor. In the beginning I belived that I was burning the attomizers or cartomizers. Now I belive it must be something else..

I do the following:
1. Pre smoke my attomizer 3-4 drags to clean it with filler.
2. The attomizer reads 2.9 volt on my provari.
3. I add 8 drops of Strawberry Menthol: E-Juice - Menthol flavours - pvj07 - Paradise Vape UK (Mostly PG and 36mg nic)
4. When I smoke at 4 volt I get almost no vapor and the taste is very strong on the throat.
5. When I turn the volt up to 5-6 the vapor is still low(but I at least get some vapor) and it is still very stong on the throat. Not plastic taste, but a 'just swallowed 10 razor-blades nasty feeling. And my Atomizer gets burning hot when I smoke on 5-6 volt range. So hot that it is almost burning my lips..

--> At one time I belived that this vendor makes so strong juice. So I ordered Strawberry Cheesecake with Extra strong nic level(36mg). And several other juices(mostly PG based and max nic) And the result is the same. It is too strong to inhale. And gets too warm in the atty and driptip. And I have tested this on 2 provaris(my girlfriend also bought 1) with the same result... I'm feeling that I'm doing something wrong.. Is the 35mg nic and mostly pg mix(70/30) suppose to feel like a knife in the throat? - I have been smoking strong sigaretts for 15 years, and this is nothing like that feeling. It just feels plain wrong.. Can anyone please advise me? - Can I be drowning the attomizers? or can it be anything else that makes ALL my jucies so unsmokable harze?

Drowning the atty would account for no vapor, the throat hit may be that the nic level is too high combined with the 70/30 pg/vg ratio. All of my atties will get quite hot, stainless and aluminum drip tips absorb the heat and singe my lips at times if I am chain vaping away. Try adding just 3 or 4 drops, see if that ups the vapor production. It could be that flooding also makes the atty hotter since it is working overtime due to flooding. Blow out the excess juice and add 3-4 drops see if that helps out some.

35mg is borderline insanity. Unless you smoked like 4+ packs a day you should be looking at 24mg. The nicotine level greatly affects the throat hit and yours sir is reckless. A provari maxed out requires at least a 4.5ohm atomizer to be in the safe zone where you aren't damaging your coil. That's why I don't recommend anyone buy them personally. They don't even sell atomizers that have that high of a resistance on the market. I have never seen one. In fact, if anyone can show me where to get one I would like to see it. 2.9-3.0 ohms should be safe to vape up to around 4.75 volts.

Also 8 drips is an awful lot for dripping. It should be 3-4 tops to prime it.

Recommend you get 24mg juice and start there. It's not your mix of PG/VG, that's the same mix I use and I get mad clouds of vapor. Also, try getting another way to vape like a clearomizer such as the Vision Vivi Nova or the Ego Vision Clearomizer (stardust). Unless you plan on vaping at regular voltages (3.6v-4.8v) I would get as high of a resistance on them as you can. Here is a list of voltage vs. ohms:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ur-battery-temperature-preferences-excel.html

24mg is normal high strength nicotine level. I smoked a pack a day for 13 years, marlboro reds, full flavor, and when I quit 5+ months ago I was smoking 100's size.

That's what I got.

Ok, it might be that I have been unlucky. First burning my attys and now drowning them. And that all the juices that I have ordrered is too harze/strong for me and my girlfriend. But I reckoned it was ok, since I bought Strawberry Cheescake with standard pg/vg mix.

If I drown my atty - by adding 8 drops, how can I fix it? - Just blow through it and wipe off?

No if you drown your atty it will just usually drip through the drip tip and make a mess.

I edited my first post and added a link that you should look at.

If you have a lower nicotine level juice you can add some of that to the stuff you have and lower the nicotine level. If you have say 24, and 34 then a 50/50 mix would be 29mg see?

You can clean your atty by blowing it out from the bottom into a paper towel. You don't ever need to wash an atomizer. Just keep blowing it out when you are done every night.

I would've went with 24mg too. You can use the 24mg for the rough times and the 18mg to chain vape. I started that way and I ended up on 24mg full time but 18 isn't bad. If it's too low for you it just means you'll vape more constantly. Expect to vape constantly in the beginning anyway. Also, remember that vaping is a slow reaction, not like a cigarette. The medical nicotine used in Ejuice doesn't cross the blood brain barrier instantly like inhaled tobacco. It takes several minutes. If you stack it up too high and get a headache just drink a glass of water and lay down and don't vape for 15 minutes and see how you feel. It will pass.

Ok, Thank you! :)
Hopefully this is the solution. I have ordered new juices now, with 18mg nic strenght. Hopefully this will help.
I haven't been able to find a clearomizer that fits my 510 Provari screw yet..

If you have money to spare, get a Vision Vivi Nova. It's a 510. It's around 14 dollars but it comes with three atomizer heads that you can switch out. Each is a different resistance which would be very good for your Provari (low, medium, high)

If you want to be frugal try and get an Ego Vision Clearomizer (also called the "Stardust"). You'll want the long wicked models. Make sure you look at the picture. The short wicked Stardusts aren't as good as the long wicked ones.

I do not recommend Phoenix clearomizers, they are bottom feeder tanks and in my opinion they are inferior to the Vivi Nova or Stardust.

Vivi Nova Version 2.0 or Version 2.5 if you can get it all the way across the world. Tank capacity is 5ml. Comes with 3 atomizer heads that are replaceable. If you research on how to rewick them you can rebuild the atomizer yourself by ordering the proper wick and coil. Here is a video from a fellow ECF member: Vision Vivi Nova, Part 1 (Unpackaging & First Impressions) - YouTube

You can only post one video at a time so the first link ^^^ is part 1, the first impressions and review section and part 2 vvv
is how to rebuild them.

Dripping usually requires only 3 drops with a clean atty and 2 each time you refill. Nicotine level governs throat hit. Order an equal amount of 12mg juice in the same flavor, mix the two in equal parts to get 24mg juice.

Harsh with no vapor can be a lot of things. If you hear a gurgling sound when you vape, you are flooding the atomizer. You said you test vaped the atomizer empty. That burns the filler. There's no filler in an atomizer, just a silica wick that won't burn. if it's a carto you were talking about, it has a polyfill filler. Once you burn it, it tastes terrible from that point on.

There's also the Smoktech DCT carto tank. It $12 and holds 3.5ml or 6ml of juice, depending on which size you buy. The taste is smooth and with large vapor clouds. Since it is low resistance, use it at 3.4v and move up or down in voltage. A 3 ohm coil should be started at 3.7v and you can move up or down from there to find the sweet spot.

BTW, when your use the Ao setting on the Provari, you are checking ohms (resistance).

You need a 510 to eGo extension to use the Stardust type clear's on your ProVari. It just screws into your 510 connection, then you screw on the Stardust. They sell them lots of places, including ProVape. Couple bucks usually.

He's right. At some point you are going to probably want to get what is called a 510 to 510 adapter or sometimes the 510 Cone Adapter. I know Empiremods and Madvapes both sell them for a few dollars. Your provari has only a single battery connection in 510. An ego battery connection has the same one but it also has a second set of threads to accommodate a cone which is a protective sleeve that goes over a cartomizer. The stardusts screw into that cone thread instead of the 510 battery thread that you have. They have a center post that just slide in and sits inside the 510 battery threads. In other words without that adapter you wouldn't be able to use everything on the market with a provari, so owning one can give you more versatility. There's no hurry to get one though, the Vivi Nova will fit right into the provari as it is and you're going to love it.

Be sure you are getting 510-eGo though. A 510-510 won't work...at least it won't on my LavaTube. I'm assuming the same for the ProVari. I'll let ya know when my ProVari get's here next week! :2cool:

This a 510-eGo extension:

Yeah or here:
510-eGo Cone Adapter

The only thing that bugs me about those adapters is that real ego battery connections have FOUR air holes, not two. If it doesn't hit right just take a dremel and ream yourself out two more slots with a grind wheel lol.
