Hi,
This has been happening for a while but figure it's time to solve this problem I'm having with the orings all giving off black color that I can see when cleaning all my avs parts. I must be vaping this stuff since I can see it all over the place.

Are there clear silicone alternatives?

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks!

I don't use anything on mine. A q-tip w/ejuice lubes them well enough. As long as they are clean and the threads are in good condition, there's nothing to damage the rings and the ejuice provides plenty of "slick". If I have to replace a set a year; it's what....a buck a month?

Just works for me; others might have other solutions.

Good advice. I've seen people advise using Vaseline. Don't, it breaks down the rubber. I use nothing, just clean with soap and water about every 10 days. No leaks no problems.

Thanks for the link.

I don't use anything for lubing the orings. I've never used anything at all. Don't seem to need to. I simply wipe w/ paper towel.

It's most definitely from the rings themselves because when I take the mouthpiece off to wipe the top ring that surrounds the cartomizer, the black liquid is coming right off the ring itself. And all the rings seem to have this stuff when cleaning my avs.

Yes, they are the original rings. I'll buy a new set of rings to see what that does but was hoping there would be rings that were made of something other than black rubber or whatever it is - I'm thinking a clear silicone material?

My ejuice is caramel apple from vapor4life but does it w/ other juice as well.

Thanks guys!!

o-rings are viton contino. They are safe. But I think that its not the o-rings but the threads. I suggested to another thread to shine threads with a cream that shines metals but you need a very good clean with soap and water after this. So maybe you can try alcohol to remove any dirt between threads.
