I am not sure if I am vaping more or if I am over charging them or my provari/tank setup is draining it faster. I use to go a full day with out needing to charge now I get 6 hours then I need to recharge. I charge them overnight, but I don't know if the batteries are dying quicker or I am doing something. Input please.

Time of use as a measure is not very objective for batts. It's more measurable by amount of juice you go through.

IMR has less mah (less use time) than the P 18650 batts. If you are getting less time, could it be just that you are using it a little more than before?
IMR batts have a higher output performance that is put to use with LR attys/carto's. It will meet the power requirements for LR much better than the P18650's.
One of the first complaints about the Provari was its batt times. 6 hours is pretty good if you are vaping a lot.

If you are not using LR atty/carto you will get more time out of P18650 (P= protected Li-ion, vs. IMR safe chemistry).
Most Provari users have sets of batterys ready to go and a good charger.

Too many variables to offer a concrete answer. Internal resistance and depleted chemistry will occur over time, shortening the available power to vape. This natural occurring phenomena is exacerbated in a buck boost system (Provari). It is further amplified by using atomizers with large current draws etc... e.g LRs and DCs.

Try the following to see if they are dying.

Charge them fully on the charger.
Take them out and measure the voltage with a multimeter.
Leave them on the side for a couple of hours
Measure them again with a multimeter

If the voltage has dropped noticeably then they are starting to go

thanks for this; other than noticeable drop in performance, I wondered how to check the batt wear and when to toss them for new ones.
