sounds like the wrapper got rolled up a bit and stuck... try removing the top of the mod and pushing the battery out the top... nevermind... looks like the top doesnt come off ( just looked at some pics of one)

orrrr... the battery vented and swelled and its doomed... time for a new mod and battery..

I think he had a not so good battery that swelled too.

He may be able to push the battery out far enough to grab the battery snd pull it out.

I hate these stupid hybrids or faux hybrids.

If the Atty's 510 doesnt extend far enough or there is a squishy O ring where the collar around the 510 PIN touvhes the top of the battery you have a hard short where the battery does one of four things

1 gets very hot
2 vents
3 swells
4 goes BOOM.

I managed to push it out to pull the rest out with a plier! Just not too sure whether or not the battery is still going to work...

Thanks a lot! I managed to push it out to pull the rest out with a plier! Just not too sure whether or not the battery is still going to work...

Good job on getting it out.

But, I would dispose the battery, as parts of it may have been damaged ... as well as the original problem of swelling.

Harambe,

To understand what happened & what could happen is important if you want to safely continue using mechanical mods, especially the SMPL & that atomizer.

Please check out Baditude's blog | E-Cigarette ForumBaditude’s blog.

Of interest to you should be Section 8: A Beginner's Guide to Your First Mechanical Mod with special attention to the discussion of “faux hybrid mods”, & Section 14: Ohm's Law Explained for Vapers.

Good luck & please stick around. This forum is full of useful information & entertainment.
