Hey there. I have boge cartomisers that I use in a tank and a few are burnt upon using. Like I drip onto them (can't use the condom method because they're like specially made for the tank) and I wait about a half hour but they taste very strongly of burn and not at all of the juice. How can I stop this from happening? And is there anyway to save the burnt cartomisers or is it too late? Thanks :)

Once they are burnt there really isn't anything I have found that will save them. I always drip a few drops at a time and let it soak in until the top looks dry. When the juice drips out of the bottom it is full, but I still let it sit and soak for a while. Takes forever but I don't seem to get as many burnt carto's as when I started.

Here's two pictures. They're slightly longer than normal boges, they have a rim and you can't see it very well in the picture but the wool stuff inside starts a good bit down from the top, quite a lot more than a normal boge.

When i use a fresh boge carto in a tank, i put it together, and then i pull pretty hard on it without firing the coil. I usually do this and bubbles comes into the tank from the carto, which means juice is getting into the filler. I do that a couple times so i know ive got some juice in there wicking. Then i let it sit for about 1 minute. Then vape very short quick and powerful drags (maybe 1s tops), when you taste your juice and get a lil vapor youre good to go, vape as you please.

They look like the boge F16 cartos i bought a couple of weeks ago to try carto tanks and i burnt my first carto too.

You could use the condom method, but it's a PITA because of the flange. In my case i dripped a lot on the carto, then set it up on the tank, filled it up and left i there for 15-20 minutes while doing some pulls without firing, i haven't had any issues doing this method.
Hope this helps

You may very well not be priming the carto adequately. This is the most important step in setting up a cartotank. A standard length carto (35mm) will require 25 - 30 drops or 1 ml of juice; an XL length carto 30 - 35 drops, or 1.5 ml of juice to be adequately primed. The filler material should look like a wet slushy drink even after sitting a few minutes.

I use a method of filling the top of the cartomizer which will allow it to be used immediately, not need to sit, and not need to blow out the airhole. It's the Drip & Shake Method. It takes only 5 minutes start to finish. You can read the step-by-step method in my cartotank setup guide here:

BTW, never been a fan of Boge cartos. +1 for Ikenvape 510 Fusion and Platinums. :thumb:

I don't care for the ones that have a longer tube, including the Ikenvape Mega Fusion. I find it's harder to tell how well it primed. Looking at your pictures, the bottom one is definitely too dry. It should look a bit "slushier" than that.
