I think it's probably " Failed Under Constant Testing " - you can work out the acronym ...

CE4s have a life span - this one sounds nackered if it's flooding .. As noted it's probably the rubber seal at the top of the stem , with regular refilling they do fail and you end up with gurgling and a mouth full of juice ....I've experienced it , it's not pleasant ...

Sorry to keep plugging one product ... But I'd suggest you look at some Kanger EVOD BCCs ... The price initially is not more than CE4 , it's better vape and you can replace the head at the fraction of the cost of a whole CE4 unit, also extremely solid , no rubber flange near the mouthpiece and very short wicks so no taste alteration .. I made the jump .. It's worth it buddy ... Will work on all / most ego threads ...

and as as you mentioned menthol .... Oh boy these thing rock out !!! To a whole nother level

Did you take the rubber stopper off the end of the air vent tube, can you tighten it down any more

No I haven't. It's not just this CE4. I've gone through probably 6 since I got the juice (2 weeks). I import them directly from China so I have hundreds of them but it's really annoying having the change them every other day.

I'm betting it's the mint. Funny (not really...) I just looked at MadVapes site and they completely skip over the matter of what flavors can crack plastic tanks. More "honest" places put that info right up front as soon as they discover what flavors cause problems. They don't have a single tank cracker in their entire liquids line-up? :glare:

Just another suggestion. I have used many china ce4's. They do not like to be filled to the top delineation as given. They flood on me when I do that. I make sure to keep it below the wick joining area. Specially a thin fluid will drip down the center air pipe. Gurgle gurgle. And store thin fluids upright when in the tank. Good luck.

I've found the same issue so I only fill 3/4 full. I get mine from China in bulk too and have not had any issues with minty juices (so far). I've got a tank filled with Halo Twisted Java right now. I usually have at least one filled with some kind of menthol. I'm getting clones so they could be made a bit differently than the ones you got.

Its probably wicking too quickly, not vaporizing everything that gets wicked up and falling down the airtube.

So other than the tank being cracked somewhere (which normally you would be able to see) it might just be a thinner liquid and wicking super fast and/or not getting enough wattage to vaporize it completely.

Leaking and gurgling is almost always a coil performance issue. The wicks are getting liquid to the coil faster than you can vaporize it and what's not getting heated is dripping down the center shaft. Your CE4 is probably on its last leg. You could try cleaning it and giving it a dry burn to get rid of the material that's causing the coil to perform below spec, but those things are so cheap...

Ya, but you actually have to look for it too. MBV Tidal Wave wasn't on their list of tank crackers but after three tanks of it in a T3s it kept getting weepier and wetter and... I just shrugged it off until I did a good cleaning of the base of the plastic tank and sure enough - the entire base now had cracks running all around it where the plastic met the metal base of the tank. Like I said - it wasn't on the official list of tank crackers. But it has a strong mint in it and some kind of lemon in it and... they're ya go.

Well I have noticed something has nothing to do with the liquid, I have one CE4 got it from Uk since August am using it and washing it and filling it till the maximum and never had any sort of leaking or gargling till now (touch wood) and no burn taste problems free..
But on the other hand got 5 CE4 from china, 2 turned out to fail dead out of the box and they replaced them with others, the 1st one starting to use from the replacement, for the 1st use it was ok, after washing and re filling, problems started, leaking gargling, will only stop if its only filled up to 0.4 ml above that problems starts...
Well I guess its an issue with manufacturing not the CE4 it self..
Its bugging tho :glare:
