So now that you have had one in your hands and built (and rebuilt) a few, do you find it relatively easy to do???

LOL yes and no....Yes if I make it the same way twice, but since I like to invent new things then no lol.I try with each one to make it better then the previous one.I guess I now know of that addiction some talk about.

Hey chopper,

Glad to hear you're doing better and able to do some modding.

Teach

Thank you and yes the shaking is getting under control. The Dr. had to find out which of my medicines was the culprit. It was a combination of 2 out of the three I take causing the shakes.Since he adjusted the meds its getting better day by day.I'm still having trouble with wrapping the kanthal to make my coil.

Excellent! As long as you're headed in the right direction.

Well i just finished reading all of this thread. I made the list for the line SS earlier this week but had some issues using paypal and was not able to make the purchase. Soo, later this week i am goin gear hunting. Cant wait to get this lil project of mine (ours?) Up and running. Be ready for a lil question and answer session pretty soon!

I would love to see a step by step tutorial video of how to make this Cheaper version of the Repairable Line.

Many great modders in this sub-forum.. But I would love that BJ43 does this tutorial himself since I am his number one Fan.

My problem is that I did not start any modding whatsoever yet and I have that beginners fear. And, I am very visual. A video is worth a thousand Picture.

Can you please do that BJ?

I saw Steeljan modding the F1 on youtube. But, I think it was not the perfect way of doing it like you guys do it.

Thanks in advance :)

really want to try out that corn starch trick with some water safe silicon, may try it this weekend when my gear gets here for building a line

@BJ: I'm assuming it doesn't matter, but did you use argentium 18 gauge or sterling for your preferred posts? I only have 22 or 24 argentium (can't remember) and 24 SS hypodermic, may just try it with that and place another order at twisted in the mean time

Could have sworn I have black hair, but here I am having a blonde moment....

So fashion/insert my top plug, have all my holes set up

Solder my connections

Then just push the tube in and pray that the silver posts get through the holes in one piece?

LOL. I'm probably making it seem more difficult than it actually is, but I feel like there must be an easier way!

1) I solder the 18 gauge silver wire to the 510 connector put ptfe tubing on the silver wire and fill the connector with epoxy.
2) When the epoxy is dry I glue the plastic tube to the 510 connector.
3) When all glues are set I form a top plug out of plumbers epoxy putty about 1/8 inch into the plastic tube and ¼ inch above it.
4) I insert the assembly into the ss sleeve and finish forming the epoxy putty around the two silver posts and filling just a little above the threads of the ss sleeve. At this time position the silver posts in the position you want.
5) The next day when the epoxy putty has fully set I hand drill a 2mm hole for the wick and a 1mm hole to equalize tank vacuum.
6) Roll wick and coil and vape away..

Thank you so much BJ, step this cleared it up for me 3 and 4 cleared it up for me :)

Also, I have a pile of vision tubes lying around, as well as 3 pencap set ups (two phoenix and 1 humongo)

The vision tubes I know you use, but they seem a tad more narrow then the stock tubes, it slides around really easily.

What holds your set up tight? Does the top plug that you fashion just hold everything together? I take it that means you can't pull the tube out to adjust things without damaging the top plug?

EDIT: Anyone seen steeljan's youtube video on this mod? She bypasses a lot of steps by just going with a 'one piece' system. The possible draw back I can see is, you're left at the mercy of the juice window controlling your airflow
