My Clearomizer Tank - 1.6ml - Rebuildable is giving a burnt taste

Hi all, Like my title says i am getting a burnt taste. I have a Young June Lava Tube 2.0vv , I did make the mistake of hitting the setting and it ended up being 6 volts at one point. Besides rebuilding it is their a way to clean this unit. It does not always give me a burnt taste. Currently running at 3.5v an has 2.2 ohms.

Take it apart, rinse, dry burn and get the gunk off the wick / coils.

I assume this is a vision style tank?

If so, just pull out the wick and go cotton
