I purchased a Cloupor T5 50 Watt from an online vendor. I received it on a Wednesday afternoon and installed a fully charged Sony VTC4 and started using it. It worked fine throughout the evening. I charged the battery overnight. The next morning I was able to use it for roughly 20 minutes when it stopped firing. I was using an Aspire nautilus tank with a 1.8 Ohm coil. When it stopped firing there was a message on the screen saying to "check atomizer". I replaced the tank with another Nautilus and got the same error. I tried adjusting the 510 center pin (screw) by turning it out, Still no luck. I tried one of my Aerotank's and a Kayfun 3.1 with no luck. I turned off the device and turned it back on and it then started reading everything at 0.3 Ohms but still did not fire. I did send it back to the vendor requesting a refund. I also noticed my battery wasn't lasting very long. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would like to know before I purchase another one.

I had an issue where it would power itself off and on intermittently, but I realized that it was because the screw next to the charging port was not tightened all the way. I can run this thing with only that screw inserted, but if I put the other 2 in and take that one out, nothing.

I have not run into the issue you describe, but since I have not had any other issues yet (I've had it for a week now), I would say have them replace it, if you liked it, instead of a refund. Sadly, you can expect some of these to have issues, and unfortunately you found one.

When you say you turned the screw out in the 510, did you turn it out a lot or a little? My some of my kayfuns have a short pin, so i have to crank it out pretty far compared to other tanks... and when i remove a tank it usually has a habit of screwing itself back down in really far... I could be wrong, but what you're describing sounds like maybe the screw was just too far down and maybe you didn't back it out enough? or had juice down in the 510 that needed cleaned out?

Last night my T5 completely died. No lcd screen, no power up, nothing. Had it for 10 days. Not sure if its related but mine also did the random shut off and it seems like it did it more frequently lately. I emailed cloupor about it but they just kept thinking I was talking about the 5 click power shut off and kept telling me wait till Sept 16. The battery not lasting long has plagued everyone I've seen that has these. I get maybe 4 or 5 hours unless I'm using a kayfun or some other tank.

OP, i just had the same exact thing happen to me. was working perfectly, then all of the sudden, no fire. i went to adjust center pin, but then thought, well its not saying check atomizer, so i first thought it was my RDA. i i got out another RDA with a 2.1 ohm build for my small regulated mod. hit fire button, nothing. but it tells the voltage like it usually does, but the ohm reader didn't change from 0.3, which is actually what my original build was. so that number didn't register as a red flag. with no atty or tank on it, it tells voltage when you hit fire like its working. but its not throwing anything to the atty... i will be contacting cloupor. and i doubt a firmware update will fix our problem...

The T5 uses a proprietary chip made by cloupor does it not? I believe this is their first chip which they have made from scratch so I would have expected a few bugs but this thread is quite alarming! It might be worth sticking with chips from Evolve or Yihi for now until these issues have been teased out, I mean a mod that constantly fires even when off is a real worry.
