Can't figure out why my builds seem so different. I'm not getting as much vapor on the new grand. The coil on the wood is 1.06 and the grand is .9 but the wood is thick clouds that are velvety and the grand is not the same. would it have to do with the coil placement/height?
Closer to the outside rim will give a bit better flavor. Coil and wick look good maybe a tad too long on the wick. Also the Woodvil almost always hits harder than a metal given the same coil.
Is it better to build a smaller coil then? This is all still new to me so I'm trying to figure things out still. What ohm coil is best?
Congrats kinggirl The grand is probably running hotter then your woodvil this will certainly effect the vape . The older grands if they were dirty did run cooler then a woodvil . With the new contacts the grands hit harder . Hotter is less flavor unless your soaking the coil
That's not the air hole... That's the juice feed hole. Pull your coil further out, and slightly to the right. Coil looks pretty good

No I was curious about both - the airhole and where the coil should be placed with the juice hole. But, I switched drip tips and it made a HUGE difference in vape. So when building, the coil should not cover the juice hole?
....and you want the air hole to be facing away from you (up) when you vape, depending on how you hold your Grand. Whe I vape mine, the button (use my thumb) is at 6o'clock, so my air hole is between 11 - 1 o'clock.
Well, I've probably taken like 20 hits in a minute trying to figure all this out so I'm on some crazy high right now lol. I trimmed the wicks up and I think that did the trick. I had to turn the AC down to circulate my office out.
Yea I actually prefer my hole off to the side ( 2 to 3 o clock, button facing down) for how I hold it. Plus I seem to have less worry about leakage this way ( air holes are now 5/64ths)

Perfect description Jan, thank you! I was able to visually "get it." I was pretty sure I was doing it right but at first I wasn't even close. I use my pointer finger, so hold it with my finger on the button at 12o'clock and the airhole is at 12 o'clock. everything is pointing upwards. So, that's right?
