I've made it back to the forum after some time. Many of you new folks, I don't yet know, but I see some familiar faces still around.
I just wanted to share my (not so) quick story.
In 2013, my Mother, a long time smoker who lived with a smoker was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. I traveled back and forth to help care for her until eventually I moved back to the East Coast to care for her full time. Despite all out efforts, she passed in March of 2014. It was the worst experience of my life! She was and still is my best friend and the whole situation is devastating.
Three weeks after returning home, (I knew the day was fast approaching) I had to put down my 19 y/o kitty boy...another Love of my Life! But I will admit I am grateful that he fought so hard to stay on this planet and wait for me to get back before he could bare no more so I could be with him.
I know this isn't the happiest of stories and you're probably thinking why post and what's the relevance...I'll tell you...
Because I now know, if I can get through the most painful time period in my life with my Reo in hand, I will NOT smoke AGAIN.
I am SO, SO grateful to Robert (and everyone here for their helpful advice) for this.
And...well...the next battle has begun for me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago. It's going to be another hard road ahead, but my doctors think this is just going to be a small interruption in my life before a full recovery.
I discussed the use of my Reo with my oncologist and she has absolutely no reservations about me using it throughout treatment...so everyone better be fast on the trigger when those new woods go on sale cause, I'm all in! LOL....
Anyway, I'm going to try to stick around because I'm sure I'm a year behind on builds and tips, so I'd like to get back up to speed.
Thank you, Robert! And Thank You, REOnauts...new and veteran alike!
Stay Well my Friends!
