My Deathstar mod.

Hey guys.

Been working for a while on making some different mods, and this is the first one i want to show you guys =D

I call it "The Deathstar" for obvious reasons.

The button on top is fully functional and it vapes like a monster. Feels quite nice to hold in the hand too! I am thinking about trying to make it a battery mod as well as i kinda like the shape and feel in the hand of it - only for home-use though... =D

I have a few creative mods in action as well as a product of my insomnia. I've bored an 8 ball (pool) to fit a cr123 and despite the "hey you are smoking an 8 ball" comments. Next is a HURST T-handle from a few Z-Gate shifters I have sitting here. That should satisfy the gearhead in me.

The cool thing about my mod here is that i have the stand for the webcam ( as it is originally.. or rather, was, a webcam ) so that goes on top of my monitor, and i can place the deathstar there, leave it, and when i want to smoke, just grab it and place it back up there. Very handy.

Ive actually been wondering if i can enable the cam to work WHILE its a vape machine. Would make for interesting footage.

Its just a logitech webcam and to be honest all the parts fit .. i didnt have to do alot of stuff, i widened a hole for the atomizer, and thats it.

Yeah, i figured that if the atomizer ( using the one from JS ) can stand a 11 sec draw on 3.7 , and also from a USB passthrough ( built in ) plus the fact that ive seen others do it on their "smaller" atomizers, then this should be able to. And so far its holding up. I am only taking 2-4 sec drags on it though - and i am thinking of getting it down by 1 volt or something.

I did the same setup with my battery box mod. I'm thinking about doing another with two series diodes to reduce the voltage. Also considering adding a three way switch to select hi, med, lo with hi being full 5 volts. With a 901 atty my current box seems to provide just a little too much heat. No failed attys though.

I like the idea of low, med, hi - but in reality youd pick one and stick with it i think.

What you could do however is keep it at 5, but somehow make it so you have a button and when you press you get EXACTLY 3 seconds , and then it shuts off. Might be cool?

Another mod ive been thinking of, is serial'ing up two atomizers + two batteries ( or 2x usb ) and let those atomizers run into a "tube", which ends up in ... well your mouth.

Imagine just how hard youd get hit by two atomizers puffing for 3 secs, and hitting you at once.

I think you're right about picking one setting and sticking with it.

The timer can be done, but it's more complicated.

The twin atty thing would be easy enough, but I wonder if USB could power both at the same time.

I've hit two 901s on batteries at the same time. It's nice but I don't make a habit of it.

i got to say while i am not the person to go and be creative like that. it would be an interesting way of starting a conversation at a starwarscon or something. all you got to Do really is paint the deathstar

Hehe. Ofcourse then youd have to dress up as Darth Vader too, for it to be perfect.
