um, I think I get Gummy's head-slap...you do have e-juice touching your brass, do you not?


you might want to visit the homedistiller.org website - i think they have a thread about brass passivation to reduce the lead on the surface using acid etches or something made from household chemicals - it won't effect the look/finish if i remember, but I think it's temporary.

It's to get gunk off left from manufacturing 50/50 vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. Not telling how I know.

not just manufacturing residue, lots of people want to use a brass nut or something in their column, leibig, or parrot, but can't because the lead will leach into the "product" so passivation's the only way to put it into the vapor path.

Distillers are fastidious about not using any parts with lead.

(note: past life-time, now i'm vaping on MMJ, so don't drink anymore)
