Money has been tight since the new year, and ive been using my Fogger rebuildable tank most of the time in an effort to save juice. After finally getting a decent pay check and paying off some bills, i had some money put away for a new box mod and a Derringer, and a few bottles of new juice to try. Was going to head to my local B&M today. After a nice dinner out with the girl last night I came home to find that my dog had gotten into a pretty bad scuffle with my neighbors dog, and was pretty torn up. The neighbors dog had a few cuts on his head but was clearly the winner of the fight. I counted almost 50 cuts and punctures on his chest, head, legs and paws. I rushed both of them to an emergency vet where they cleaned up the wounds and prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory pills and pain killers for my guy because he was hurting.

My dog will be fine but i feel terrible that it happened. There were no stitches, no vital spots hit on either dog, so all in all we got lucky. After spending over $500 on emergency veterinary bills it looks like my vape habit will have to wait.

Point of story, I love vaping, building, dripping, etc but I love my dog a million times more and I would spend every penny to make sure he is ok.

Sorry for the long story, but I know there's some of you out there that are animal lovers as well and have been in the same situation

I suppose I should have elaborated a bit. By neighbor I'm referring to my landlord and close friend of mine, he owns the house and i live in the downstairs apartment. He has 2 dogs, one of which gets along fine with mine and the other not so much but they are used to eachother. I have a roommate who was actually watching the dogs upstairs while they were out of town for the day. In a freak turn of events they ended up seeing each other in the hallway. Sorry for not saying that originally, was trying not to post a novel lol

Thank you for explaining. Now I am even more sorry. I was hoping it was something like your dog was in your yard and the neighbors dog some how got past the gate into your yard.
I do however feel that your roommate should help with the vet bill. (assuming the room mate was aware of how the dogs got along)
If I leave someone to care for my child, dog, house or car and damage happens then they are responsible for the cost of that.

That being said.. there is a bright side.. Your pup is OK. AND you did have the money to pay a vet. It is probably not worth persuing an issue with your room mate. Although your roomy should offer since it really was his/her fault.

Yep, I still have my best friend, and that's all that matters. Also my roommate has paid me back for a good portion of the vet bill. Still a little too much spent to justify new hardware, but I smell some juice in my near future... and a fresh bag of treats for the pup :)

It sounds like your room mate is a very stand up decent person!!! How nice to read that!

Dog owners are special people. I was single raising three kids and barely getting by when my Aussie tore her nail going after a Frisbee, that ended up being a $300 manicure, three months later I spent $800 dollars when she got into a 40 pound bag of dog food and damn near needed surgery... for some reason I now have 2 Aussies.
