You could look for one of those plastic jobs around,and gut it for the internals...dont remember what they are called though :(

I burnt my 1st Vmax and my 2nd is damaged...but both mainly powered a DiD (shorts a go-go);

I saw in some of your pics that you are too using a DiD on it (with an extension...why?)

Maybe it doesnt like the DiD in particular

I just ordered the Saber Touch Pv by Sir Lawrence at Vapor Moon. Its not a real popular PV, it costs about 100 but mine was a bit more as I ordered a few extras on it. It is highly loved in its small community. There are quite alot of customizations available to give you a personalized PV just as you want it. It comes in the standard 3.7/6 volt like the one I ordered. It also comes in a 5 volt version which seems to be most people choice and now it comes in the Vari-volt. They have a 5 year warranty and the switch has a lifetime warranty I believe. You can check out Vapormoon.com and please check out the forum on this site Vapor Moon. I was looking at the Chuck and the buzz pro for something rugged and simple well finished and decided on the Saber Touch as the details on the endcaps and all metal parts and threads and the fact that the top of PV is all sealed so no juice can get in.
In the past some people were a bit shy about the touch sensor, which only fires up when you put your finger on the sensor and your hand had to touch the endcaps which were metal to make the unit fire. Some people with dry fingers found it annoying to have to moisten their finger to make it fire but Sir Lawrence has addressed this and made adjustments.
Also for smaller hands he has added some design customizations which are either metal bands or stripes and /or touch pads on the back or around the sensor.

I'm not messing with no more vmaxes...I just ordered the gripper unitl I can save up for a real durible pv, but im a lil worried because is made by the same manufacturer that makes the vmax.. I'm also looking into this omega pv becuse its mechanical and I really dont want to spend to much on a unit and have something like this happen again ....
I think the prblem with the vmaxes is the way the cap was made with the battery connector....they should've made the hole and installed the connector seperately compleatly isolating the connector and the center pin!!
After looking over the unit and in comparison with another pv i think the problem is the positive pin. It gets pushed in by the atty and creates a short because theres not enough room from the pcb and the caps positive post.... it would have been better if they had atthached the positve pin from the board eliminating the wires and with a screw on cap like the LT.. then the vmax will be a badass pv....safer, user friendly, and best of all, still powerfull!!!
