OK, so I got my eGo and was dripping. Thought I was doing OK, but I either flooded or killed my atomizer in the first few hours of use.

I use three drops and vape until I get a bit of an off flavor. It's still making good vapor though and I drop two more drops in. I was going good and then the draw got real hard and was not getting good vapor any more.

If I look inside and press the button, I still get an orange glow and some vapor, but the draw is still hard and the vapor is less than half what it was. What am I doing wrong? Did I flood it? (no puddles of liquid anywhere) Did I kill it? Why did the draw get so hard and the vapor drop off?

Any tips would help. This is a 510 regular resistance att btw.

When dripping, you should blow out your atomizer several times a day. Excess liquid builds up at the bottom of the pot and your atomizer has to work overtime to try and vape new liquid. This can also cause a drop in battery performance due to the user having to press the button longer to try and get the same hit.

Blow it out real good in a papertowel, wipe down the threads, add 3-4 drops, and you should be good to go.

I find that if you can see the atomizer glowing red then it's dry. I usually drop 3 to 4 drops on a 510 and 6 to 7 on an 801. Some say they flood with that much but I don't seem to have that problem. I usually get 10 to 12 good drags before I need to drip again.

As mentioned by the others it's good to blow out any excess when needed but I vape in sessions for the most part so after 10 to 12 drags I put it away for a while just like I did with cigs. I don't drip again until I'm ready for the next round.

I do chain vape though while at home on my PS PT.

Hope that helps!

Are you using the eGo with a LR atty? If so...it is terribly difficult to flood them. There is a break-in period, and a definite learning curve. My best advice: always keep it most. They behave differently than a normal ohm atomizers, so you have to treat them differently! Good luck.

Edit: I should add, if it IS LR, there isn't a cart out there that can handle the voltage. They are for strictly for dripping!

I think if the Atomizer got a hard draw all of a sudden, you probably got it too hot and melted the plastic spacer that's between the coil pot and the connection. You can easily open it back up by using a 1/8th drill bit with your fingers and insert it from the battery end of the atomizer while twisting. When it clears the restriction, you'll feel it get easier, it doesn't take much force to clear the blockage. Just be carfull not to go in too far. If you go too far, you can possibly get into the coils, you can kinda hold the bit along side the atty and estimate how far you can insert the drill bit. The coils will be under the bridge close to being even with the nic chrome mesh. You won't have to go near that deep into the bottom of the atty though. Like I said, you'll feel it when it goes through the blockage.

Although it sounds like you've popped it now, since it's not glowing anymore, keep this in mind if it happens again.
