Hi everyone I'm yameen. I have been vaping for a yr now I started when I went to UK as student & normal cigarettes were so expensive that I had to start vaping & like everyone I got hooked. Recently I returned to India & bought an ivape Inizio 900 starter kit,it was working normal for first 4 days then I saw it on my table totally toasted,it wasn't connected to anything, I had even detached the atomiser. I have no idea how it can melt without being connected to anything & there is no chance of a short circuit as it was on a wooden table with nothing around it. Does anybody have any idea how it could have happened??

I didn't drop it atall, it was just 4 day's old so I was taking really good care of it. I fully charged it took couple of hits & then disconnected it from the atomiser & went out, came back after 30 minz saw the switch totally melted & the outer rubbery case too had melted, I was shocked to see that it hadn't moved a centimetre & was in the exact vertical position i had left it.

    I'm using Inizio 900 & it also comes with safety circuit, just to make things clear it wasn't connected to anything, is it possible to have short circuit without being connected to an atomiser or a charger?

    Maybe your last vape on it overloaded it? We're starting to see people put the wrong tanks on egos lately. They're not really safe under about 1.8 Ohms.

    It is possible to have short circuit without being connected to an atomizer but not common.
    Can you return it to the place of purchase for refund / exchange?
    The ivape Inizio 900 starter kit is a re branded evod battery & evod clearo, it is a fairly outdated system.
    Many 'better' choices are available.

    Yes they are giving me an exchange for it, I know it's outdated but I'm in India presently & there isn't much choice, I looked online & they are selling few mods by Litejoy which are over priced & they too are kinda outdated too. And when it comes to ejuices we don't have much choice in them either,Amazon.in is selling ejuices without nicotine which is shocking because in India you don't need an licence to sell tobacco.While I was in UK I was using a telescopic mod with an Aspire atlantis tank which was pretty good & gave me cloud of vapour. Do you guy's know any place in India online where I can buy upto date stuff which is not over priced?

    I forgot to mention I recently ordered a V2 ejuice from Amazon.in, because on amazon.in only V2 liquids come with nicotine, rest all others are nicotine free, I received it couple of day's back & guess what it's expired. I guess in India nobody wants to Vape because you can buy a cigarette pack for 50 Cents & I feel that's the reason there ain't much choice both in ecig & eliquids & whatever choice we have available is outdated.

    internal short.

    Inside the casing is the battery and some electronics; if there is an internal short causing the battery to self discharge there isn't much you can do about it.

    if you use a tank on the battery where the airflow has to come up through the connector (like the typical evod, protanks, and older ce4 types), liquid can get down the airflow and end up in the battery.

    Not something I'd expect after only 4 days though; i'd expect those batteries to last 1 to 3 months.

    back when i used to use ego type batteries i did have one incident where an ego battery started smoking while in my hand; i dropped it to floor and watched it vent out gradually;
    it was the deciding factor in my move away from ego type batteries to 18650 battery mods;

    Maybe that's what happened to my battery, but I was a bit surprised coz it happened on the 4 th day of use. I too wanted to buy a nice mod but in India there isn't much choice & whatever choice is available they are either over priced or outdated. Even when it comes to ejuices not much choice,Amazon.in sell eliquids by V2 which have nicotine in them rest all other brands are nicotine free & the one I ordered was expired (V2 24 mg cola flavour) it's shocking coz in India u don't need a licence to sell tobacco products.

    internal short most likely... did you drop it at any time?
    Hi bunny killer,thanks for your reply.
    I was looking at some ecig batteries that are available in India on amazon.in & I found a 1300 mah variable voltage battery by "Litejoy international" do you have any knowledge about this litejoy international? As in how good their batteries are!!
