I had my 650 mah ego-c (non twist) charging in my truck. It had been charging for several hours and the red light was still on so I picked it up to check it. Wow is it hot! Even after it being disconnected from the charger for almost an hour it's still super hot. I'm assuming it was over charged. Should I be worried? Is my battery ruined? Will it blow up in my face? It seems to work fine...

Yes, you really shouldnt need to post in a forum to answer this question. I suggest you read carefully about batts and e cigs before use, its quite important that you understand them at quite basic levels they can cause major injury if not used or recharged correctly.
(Also take care where you discard them when theyre done)

Well that sucks. I only had that battery for about 2 weeks. This just forced my hand and made me order an itaist mvp.

If you've only had it for two weeks, it was bought faulty. Don't use it again! Contact your vendor for a replacement, as eGo batteries have a 3-6 month wattanty (depending on your vendor). Oh and plus one for the iTaste MVP :p.

P.S. could also be a faulty charger... If it was me, I would contact my vendor and have both replaced. Charger and battery.

I agree with everyone who said don't use that battery again. It getting hot on charge means it was overcharged. That tells me you likely have a bad charger, because it didn't stop the charge in time. The battery being hot after an hour tells me it has likely shorted internally and could be a fire risk. If it is still hot, you might try turning it off - 5 clicks of the button. OTOH, if it is shorted, it should discharge itself soon, which might be the best situation for it. Just don't leave it hot anywhere where if it burns there is a risk of fire.

I also agree with dragonbone, it should be under warranty. Good luck!
