After only 8 months or so my Itaste SVD gave out yesterday. I may be somewhat to blame, like winding coils below 1 ohm, but I figured the darn thing should have shut itself down. Oh well, gives me a chance to take it apart and see whats wrong. I got through the day using a couple of old evod batteries,
First thing this morning I went to the local vape shop to see what they had to offer in a regulated mod and this is what I came away with:

It's a kangside dna 30 box mod.

Yeah, I know, not a real dna, and we all know what it is supposed to look like, but at least it don't have their logo on it. Several features I don't care for but I think I'll get use to them. So far it appears to be doing what it should without any problems. Best of all, I can again taste what "The Virus" should taste like....

I have had good luck with my Hana clone. Not sure of the original manufacturer since I bought it in a B&M like you, but they didn't share any details on it. Mine does have the logo, which would be fine if it was a real Hana, but it is what it is.

Overall it's been a really good mod, and it's made me want to invest in the real deal. That and pbusardo's Evolv visit videos. Now I just need to settle on which device. I can't really justify the Hana because it's outrageously priced and just as much of a mess on the inside as the clones. The vaporshark rDNA seems promising, but I need to see it in person to get a feel for how the toppers will fit. Those pbusardo Evolv videos hint at the next gen board coming from Evolv, and it would be nice to hold out for something like that but who knows when that will land in new devices.

I'm still a bit torn on the clone vs authentic thing. A lot of clones perform real well and the premiums on authentic gear are just insane.

Anyway - this thread was about your purchase so ignore the ramblings. Congrats on getting yourself back to flavor country. ;)
