my empty carts don't fit

I have a DSE901 that I got from e-smokeytreats and love it. The carts I got are round on the "filling" end.

Then I got some sample juices from nuvape and ordered some of their blanks for the DSE901, but when I got them, they didn't fit. The filling end on them is round, but with one part of the circle flat...kind of like a "D" shape (I hope that made sense). Did they send the wrong ones? They look like the ones from e-smokey, except for the end and of course, they don't fit.

Are the carts for the 901 slightly different from supplier to supplier?

They're different in china.

If you buy the DSE901 from 5 different companies, you may receive 5 different models. It really sucks, and sadly a lot of the local companies mark everything as DSE901 on purpose, even though they're not 'TRUE 901s'. The reason, because it's more recognizable than using another model name.

Typically you can tell what model you are using by looking at the connector on the Atomizer/Battery:

SLB: True 901
SHOXXXXX, NOXXXXX, BLANK: Copy.

I think I'm missing a number above, you may want to check your unit and see which one you are carrying.

Hey Phil,

No big deal, but it was just in my mind when I saw this thread... Some 901 blank carts I have received have a wider/thicker mouth piece than others. Since I tend to hold mine in my teeth, I prefer the thinner style. When I re-order is there a way to specify the thinner ones?

I truly think the OP is not trying hard enough. When they are new they can be a tight fit. Get it on there straight and push it in straight. My guess is that it fits.

The newest SLB models come with the thinner mouthpiece with the D-shaped liquid side of the cart. Both styles will fit actually...

The 10 you ordered will be the same as the ones you say do not fit, IMO... Try again, they fit and are actually what you should get with a new SLB 901.

I have D shaped and O shaped carts for my 901. They both fit just fine. If you look at the round ones, you'll see that the D shape is there too, just enclosed. That little section is where your vapor comes through to the mouthpiece. It is actually a larger area in the D shaped one so a little more vapor can come through. The difference doesn't seem to affect anything except the caps for the carts.

I have some with two flat sides.
I try to line them up where the flat sides are to the side of the atom mesh.
They do take some work to push on sometimes.

well, I tried again last night because the blanks that actually came with the 901 are that D shape too, and indeed, they are a tighter fit (which I like) however the Nuvape ones seem to be just a touch bigger. They really won't seat and I can tell that if I force them any more then I have been, I won't be able to get them back out.

They're just little plastic things though (and cheap) and I'm sure they don't go through NASA spec qual control so I'm not too dismayed that they don't fit. Maybe I'll try going at them with an emory board and see it that will take enough off.

Perhaps when the atty dies and I don't have to worry about damaging it, I'll see just how much force I need to make it go it all the way.

After the first time they will become much looser...
