I have an evil atty. It is 24 hours old now and has been serving me on and off for that period of time. This HAS to be the tookiest atty I have ever tried to use!

I keep getting dry hits. Every time I pick it up, I keep getting "burn your throat up" dry hits!
I have tried 2, 3 and 4 drops. The drops are large so 3 and 4 floods it. Two drops seem to work well for about 2 puffs, then its dry, dry, dry.

It sounds great. It crackles and has a good draw, but it keeps going dry on me with no warning. It goes from full flavor and vapor to BAM! ....Dry.

I have tried flooding it and letting it sit. Then blowing out the excess and starting again with 2 drops. Nothing seems to help.

I have never had an atty act this finicky for this long.

Will it ever break in? Or am I doomed to 2 puffs, 2 drops, 2 puffs for the life of this thing?

It is a Joye (?) 510 LR atty and I am using 70pg/30vg juice. It acts the same on 3.2v and 3.7v. Suggestions?

Maybe I will. I usually use cartos, but lately I have been trying to drip more since I have so many attys. And several new juices to boot. And well...I have been sitting on my booty more........so...yeah.

Anyway, I will consider getting some Ciscos. I have read great things about those. What drip tip works with the 306?

Are u accustomed to using lr attys ? They do use up the juice faster than the higher ohms. Sounds like you just have to drip more :) the lr 306 are great but I find they go thru more juice than the lr510's.
A 306 drip top will work with the 306 atty.

Yes. I have tried to use standards and they sit in my atty holder unused. When I drip, I prefer LR. This one just seems to be very very thirsty. I can usually get at least 5 good draws off 2 drops before the flavor drops off. There is no flavor drop off with this thing. It goes straight to dry.

I have read about people debridging and dewicking. Would that help in this situation? I have never butchered an atty before, but I may as well try with this one if it doesn't improve.

soak it, let it dry and then do a dry burn. I know it's new but a dry burn might help and if it doesn't no loss it's not working right anyway, toss it. Some are just like that out of the box. I've been lucky and only had one new one like that but I use cartos mostly now.

Thanks! I'll try that before I totally trash it. At least now I know there are others who have gotten this out of an atty.

I would HIGHLY recommend these: XL306 Contoured LR306 Delrin® Drip Tip - Avid Vaper

They are the XL delrin tips. You won't get any juice in your mouth and it won't burn your lips. I made the mistake of ordering the standard size and ran into those exact problems. Now, I can vape as long as I want without burning my lips.

Bah, DB PM me your address sweetie, I will send you another. Test the second and see if it is the same, if so I will send you 2. I think I get about 1 out of 100 that do that to me and I don't expect anyone to eat that cost. Smok Tech is a good company and this is a very rare occurrence. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't say that debridging and dewicking would help. I've done my 306 and wish I hadn't debridged as I get juice in the mouth without the bridge.
