Oh, and on a non medical but more personal visual note, my skin has improved.

Hmmm not so sure about that look at your avatar, still pale, lol.

Sorry had to.

Seriously I'm sure your skin has improved alot, a specialist I was seeing new I smoked at the time just by looking at my skin, so there is something to it.

I hope your UC feels better Myk. <3

As for the blood pressure, mine has definitely gone down since vaping. i think it was higher because of the increased intake of carbon monoxide. i never had high blood pressure, but i did notice an increase as my smoking addiction increased. its now back to what it was 10 years ago.

I've been doing strangely normal since I changed drugs.

My blood pressure was really hard to track. I think IBD for so long undiagnosed created an anxiety situation that turned into agoraphobia. Plus there's already a fear of doctors so I know I can't trust their readings. Even the free one at the grocery store was always high. I bought my own tester. I wish I would've got it before I quit cigarettes so I could really track how it went.

After I bragged about not smoking yesterday, I got an irresistable urge for an analog today and bought a pack. I smoked two and they both tasted like crap. A waste of money perhaps, but I am going to throw them in the trash. It's as though every once in awhile, I have to remind myself why I started vaping.
Remember to soak em in water before throwing away. I don't want to see you rooting through the trash can at 3:00Am!!

My Doctor is thrilled. He was always relieved when my lungs sounded clear, but on my last visit he told me he was counting the visits till he sent me to get test done. Now he says they sound even better then before and thinks I should keep it up. He said nothing he's looked at shows that vaping will harm me.

I asked him to speak more publicly on this.

A while back on my first time through vaping. I bought a pack, smoked a few and cut the rest into little pieces. It felt "liberating".

That was one of my 6 month quits. Every time I wanted a cigarette I would violently tear one apart, originally knowing that wouldn't satisfy the urge I would light the cigarette, take a puff and then violently tear it apart. I lit up for about a pack and tore apart most of a carton.

While I am still a "noobie" (4 weeks without a cig tomorrow), I saw my doctor at the two week point. She was absolutely thrilled that I had quit. I was nervous about her take on eCigs, but she told me I was her 5th patient to quit using them and she was now going to start offering them up as a suggestion for her other patient's who inquire about quitting. She has been my doctor for over 10 years and one of the reason's I have continued to go to her even though her office is quite a drive for me now is because she never lectured me about smoking. When it came up the first time she said "You are an educated woman and know it is bad for you. I am not going to waste my time lecturing you on what you already know what you need to do." But, she did tell me the other day not to bother coming back if I start smoking again b/c she will refuse to treat me any longer - LOL.

One more comment - As others have posted here, I have also seen a major improvement to my skin tone. That fresh washed look I only saw for about 5 minutes after I actually washed my face lasts all day now.
