Just as an aside, I really needed a thread like this one.

It was starting to seem to me like folks were treating WTA more like a commodity as if all WTA is the same. With all the work I've put into getting WTA right and all the work in helping Aroma to get WTA right, it was seeming like folks were just saying, "Meh... I'll go find the cheapest stuff". Nothing wrong with that if you like the WTA from Aroma's competition and it works for you, but having tried all the WTA out there, I'm firm in my belief that (at least with the current WTA choices) you really do get what you pay for.

So thanks all for appreciating Aroma's products. Jerry gets all the credit for the flavors, I have nothing to do with that, but on the WTA side, we've both poured a lot of ourselves into making it the best it can be.

Well thank you for making this stuff up and insisting on a good quality level.
I think it is the calmness that comes over me is why I like this.
It was what seemed to be missing.

Onwards and upwards.

This is where I get to chime in with "Been there, done that" (-;

That part about "I'll go find the cheapest stuff"..... word to the wise, DON'T!

Got a bottle of the new 24mg diy yesterday.Used it at about 20% the first half day, than dripped it straight on the coil the rest of the day.The only feeling I got was a lightness in my wallet.I'm glad it helped some people but as with anything if you think it makes you feel better it does.On a high note, the shipping was only 4 days.

Really depends. The 24 mg unflavored WTA can be added to regular liquids in any amount from just a drop per bottle all the way up to just using it straight as is (that's what I do). It's wonderful stuff straight, but you'll have to be able to handle it at full strength to pull it off. Some of us can, others can't.

If you have a regular eliquid you want to add WTA to, you can test out various WTA percentages fairly easily.

10% WTA: add 1 mL of 24 mg WTA to 9 mL of regular liquid. Effective nicotine plus alkaloid concentration in mg/mL will be (adding the WTA to a 12 mg/mL regular eliquid as an example):

[(1 mL * 24 mg) + (9 mL * 12 mg)] / 10 mL
[(24 mg) + (108 mg)] / 10 mL
[(132 mg)] / 10 mL
13.2 mg/mL

25% WTA: add 1 mL of 24 mg WTA to 3 mL of regular liquid. Effective nicotine plus alkaloid concentration in mg/mL will be (adding the WTA to a 12 mg/mL regular eliquid as an example):

[(1 mL * 24 mg) + (3 mL * 12 mg)] / 4 mL
[(24 mg) + (36 mg)] / 4 mL
[(60 mg)] / 4 mL
15 mg/mL

Math, it's only fun if you're good at it. :)

That's 7.4% WTA, a conservative and modest starting point. See how it does for you. You can always go up from there.

Thanks for the info man much appreciated.

As with anything, some liquids work for some but not necessarily all.
Sorry to hear you found no satisfaction with the WTA (vendor?). Here's a FWIW to consider.

I know the WTA from AromaE adds in a huge positive way to the satisfaction I seek from vaping. I for one have not deluded myself with a placebo effect, "thinking" there is a positive value, I know there is.

Dissatisfaction with a given product is always a factor in any pursuit.
Painting whole segments of users with a such broad brush in an attempt to justify an individual experience is self deluding in it's own fashion.

Um, I think he was just ASKING if you tried another vendor's WTA and maybe that's why you didn't experience much difference.

There is a bona-fide reaction to the minor alkaloids, for those who are sensitive to them.

I've read plenty of posts from people who got nothing out of it--but enough who did, to know that there is something physiological about the effects IN SOME PEOPLE.

I'm pretty convinced that those who did just fine quitting with regular nic juice, will feel no benefit to using WTA. But those who just can't seem to shake serious cravings or have serious focus/energy issues after several months of vaping exclusively, will likely reap huge rewards from using it. Too many people have had positive physical results to just lump it all into the realm of psychology.

I wish only the best to those who feel the wta helps.I was only stating my experience.Maybe someday actual scientific tests will give a better indication of what happens when people use this stuff,if anything.

Here is something that may be interesting to you. Granted the study was in rats, but it may illuminate how the MAO inhibitors in tobacco enhance the addictive nature of tobacco and possibly why that is.

Monoamine Oxidase Inhibition Dramatically Increases the Motivation to Self-Administer Nicotine in Rats

Edited to add:

Here's another on MAO inhibition in smokers:

These results suggest that beta-carboline alkaloids from cigarette smoke acting as potent reversible inhibitors of MAO enzymes may contribute to the MAO-reduced activity produced by tobacco smoke in smokers. The presence of MAO inhibitors in smoke like beta-carbolines and others may help us to understand some of the purported neuropharmacological effects associated with smoking.

Hi Chuckie
Could I ask who's WTA you tried? I have tried 2 so far, and they were SO different. I have been 7 months off cigs, and Aroma WTA gives me a head rush, but Mother's Milk WTA is nothing. I still have a 3rd coming to try, but was just wondering what you tried. Also if it was a mixed eliquid, or a DIY concentrate like Aroma. Just wondering is all. Thanks

Sorry for any confusion chuckie.
My use of the word vendor was intended to be an inquiry as to what vendor you had gotten the WTA from, not hinting that you might be one.

No chuckie, I'm not a shill. I'm a paying customer that has put paid to cigarettes, tobacco pipes, snus and snuff, all in a very large part due to the effects of WTA from AromaE.

As for you just mentioning your experiences, well, that's what we all hope to be able do in an unmolested fashion here in the land of rainbows and unicorns.
I took exception to this one sentence from your post:
"I'm glad it helped some people but as with anything if you think it makes you feel better it does."
In a thread filled with responses indicating success with a given product I hope you might be able to appreciate how your choice of words can be taken as a form of passive/aggressive attack on the views expressed.

If that was not your intent then good and well.

And indeed, I will continue to enjoy my liquids and sincerely hope you are able to so as well (-:

What have I learned in my nearly five years on this forum?

--That everyone's addiction to smoking/cigarettes is very much different
--That what works for one may not work for another

As I've come to learn these things, I have been able to see that this is true with many things in life.
And I've become a much better person for having learned that.

I am a fan of WTA liquid, though I rarely use it and I don't even need it.
But I do like it, because it gives me something that nicotine alone does not give.

And when I want that extra something, I like it.
But that doesn't mean that other's might feel like they got ripped off or whatever.

Very well said DC .

Chuckie I am sorry WTA's did not work for you . When you purchased your WTA ejuice what kind did you buy and for what reason were you buying it?

Chuckie to suggest that the effect I get from WTA is all in my mind is an insult and could not be further from the truth. I knew about Wta eliquid early on when I first starting vaping and never tried it thinking it really was not for me and hmmm it really couldn't work the way they say it does. I suffered for four months , went to doctor and got tons of tests done, tried herbal remedies from the health food store and a ton of different things to get my mind back and nothing worked. Truly I was a huge skeptic of the WTA juice but I was desparate when I finally ordered it. Even when I first starting vaping it I thought here goes nothing, another thing to try with no results. Nothing could be further from the truth.

My first thing I noticed after about 15 minutes of vaping was a warm sensation on the left side of my head just like someone opened up my blood vessels and blood was flowing then slowly I woke up. Now that probably sounds extreme but that is exactly what it felt like, for four months I felt like I was half asleep all the time. This is not made up in my mind trust me on this.

Once again I am sorry this has not worked for you but if you could answer the couple of questions that I asked that would be great.
