Okay everyone, I've got some great news to share! A year and a half ago, I had a pre-employment screening before I started my job. Part of that screening was a spirometer test. My reading was 37% and the doctor said I had severe COPD and urged me to come back in to get medication for my breathing. I think they did the test wrong because even though I was wheezing badly, I don't think it was THAT bad. Anyway, a few days ago, I had to be fitted for a respirator and they did some pulmonary testing. My blood pressure is now down to near perfect level, 117/77, down from 130-132/88-96. My resting pulse was 71, down from 86-98. My spirometer readings were 101%, 102% and 103%!!!! I did better than many who are younger than me and have never smoked. They told me my readings were very good for my age, height and weight. Any concerns I had about using 26 mg of nicotine in my liquid have vanished. I'm now convinced that what I'm doing is benefiting me tremendously. My blood pressure wasn't this good when I quit cold turkey in the past (probably because I was eating everything in sight and gained 50 pounds!). Anyway, I just had to share the good news.

Tomorrow is my 10 week anniversary of vaping and NO analogs!!!! I'm as happy and satisfied with my PV now as I was on day 1. I have been set free!!!!!!!

That's great. I always felt like I got new lungs when I quit in the past.

I had 1 spirometer test many years ago. The nurse was floored. Well, when you've played trumpet in a marching band, sung in choir, and practiced Kung-Fu, you tend to develop some lung capacity. And that was when I was smoking pretty heavy. I don't think I'd do so well now, many years later.

Thanks everyone! I know I'm one happy camper. Now if we can continue to pound news like this on our lawmakers and FORCE them to look at the FACTS about E cigs and convince them to back off and leave us alone. We really are an educated group of people who know what we're doing and are reaping the rewards of a much safer alternative.

Awesome!!! I am so happy for you!

I have COPD too, really bad. I have been on meds for many years. I just quit taking them last month!! I only have a rescue inhaler now.
I dont need them anymore and that is just after 4 months of using the ecig and quitting smoking! Amazing and wonderful! A miracle, I think so!
Yes my blood pressure is way down to normal now, I may not need meds for that anymore either, I have lost 15 lbs too!
Anyone that would ban these should be hung from their toes LOL

Great news!!!

I saw my doctor about a month ago. He asked if I was having any trouble. Told him I hadn’t used the Advair or my inhaler since I saw him 8 months ago. He was more than surprised. As he was checking my lungs (which were clear and strong) he asked if I was still using the e-cig.
I think I’m his example on how they are working out.
