Hi All, New to the forum, thought I would share my goto build. Parallel wrap of 26 guage Kanthal. 6 wraps come out to .230. 3mm ID. Dead Rabbit rta, similar build in th drop dead. Like the smooth wire builds, they don't seem to gunk up as quickly as claptons, YMMV.

Peace,
Darren

Howdy and welcome :). Parallels on a dual coil. Should make for a lot of cloud. I agree about the clapton thin myself as well. Some attys just really prefer them though. I’ve got a solomon2 (currently in pieces for gasket replacement) that had an odd side mounted deck that just wasn’t very large. The only way I could get enough wire into it was to use a fused clapton

Update to favorite build. Tried the same thing in 24 gauge. 5 wraps comes out at .13 t .15 for dual coils. I may have a new Fave!

Be very cautious with builds below .2ohm. The problem is small form factor ohm meters, while they claim to be accurate to a hundredth of an ohm actually aren’t. It’s more like a tenth of an ohm. As a result you could have a coil that reads .13 but could in reality be as little as half that.

Steam engine came up with the same resistance. I run all my builds through steam engine before they are built. So far the resistance my mod says has been pretty close to what steam engine says it should be. I have been vaping these builds for a couple of weeks now, all good!

Like I said, use caution. You are quite close to dangerous levels of resistance and equipment accuracy is limited. I personally find “I haven’t blown my face off yet” to be a somewhat limited argument.

Understand where you are coming from, I vape mostly on a regulated mod and my mech squonker, all builds go on the regulated first. If all good then I will throw it in my squonker. And I still have my face ;)

That's 5 wraps in parallel I take it? So 9-10 wraps single wire.

Extremely fast ramp up time haven't they?
