So... I was just sitting backstage at the 8x10 in b-more with my friends band that I haven't seen in a year and all the sudden I reach for my mod and it's ....ING HOTTT! I bought a protective case for it and I don't know what happened but somehow it locked on. I'm so glad I had just bought a Sony vtc4 and had just over soaked my coil so all that happened is it got hot as ....! So 10 minutes later and it's still too hot to touch... I got sooo lucky!

I'm keeping the battery, I was able to detect the auto fire and stop it before anything bad happened. The coil was the only thing that got hot, the battery wasn't even warm. It was a brass 4nine clone and it auto fired because I had it in a protective case and I guess I wasn't careful enough when putting it in there. Needless to say I don't think I'll be putting that specific mod back in that case.

The title of this was accidentally misleading because I actually have had auto fires before, this was just the first unintentional one. When I first got this 4nine mod I had a twisted messes rda on it and I noticed that the switch throw was Hella short so I tested the mod and by shaking it I was able to get it to auto fire. The twisted messes rda has a crazy long 510 pin and the magnets were just barely not making contact with the switch at rest. I remedied this by putting a spare o ring I got with an rda in between the top and middle section of the mod to increase the distance between the contacts. Just a little tip. :)
