When I started to get into mech mods, I knew about the possibility of auto-firing. But, my thought process was "it won't happen to me. I'm OCD and I always lock the button." Well, only took three weeks into my mechanical life to have it happen in my pocket. Long story short, threw my mod in my pocket to chase after my son. Forgot about it. a few minutes after sitting down my only thought was "why the eff is my pocket so hot...." Ugh.

Best advise I can give is anytime you feel a mech getting overhot, in pocket or while vaping, drop the battery out immediately!
Then you have time to figure out what's up. If it's just the lock ring cool, if not at least it can't continue.
When chain vaping sub-ohm occasionally I'll drop a battery to see if it's getting hot when the mod or button is warm, better safe than sorry and it's not like it's hard.
