My first build.
It's 0.18ohm dual coil, 24 ga kanthal wire, 6 wraps on a 1mm flat head screwdriver.
It's on a mini velocity clone from fasttech, and my mod is a joytech eVic vtc mini V 3.0 (75W)

Any sugestions on low ohm builds is appreciate ;)

You have the wick stuffed between the coils instead of pulled through them? Interesting. Might work, too; I have wicked coils on the outside and brought the air through the center. But if that's what it looks like, youre wasting a lot of surface area with no wick in contact with it. It depends on the watts you're running, of course, but with low subohm builds like that, a 1mm mandrel wouldn't be enough wick for a center pull, probably, in the normal wattage range. You'd want 2.5mm or more to transport juice fast enough. Further, steam engine tells me you're probably lower than .18, if it's really 24ga KA1 on 1mm for 6 wraps; more like .12~.15 ish. I'm also wondering how much you're impeding airflow around the coil to carry away vapor with that much wick in the middle. Give it a vape and tell us how it works.

And you've given me an idea to try: a single, huge diameter vertical set between the posts, with a giant, one tail, center wick. Maybe an oval shape to squeeze it between the posts. Fun :)

It reads .18 ohm on the ohmmeter on my mod, but proberbly wrong xD I have also bought a set of pre-wraped "alien-clapton" but looks more like a normal clapton coil. when i use those i put the cotton trew the coil, but wanted to try something different for my first one :) post a pic if you make that coil, sounds awesome ;)

Will do :) I repeat you're wasting a lot of coil like that; the whole outside half can't make vapor because it has no wick. But give it a vape and let us know :)

Sweet! That works for me. Might try wrapping a piece of wick around the outside of the coil and returning the tails to the deck. Not sure how that'd work in a velocity with the side vortex air flow. When I get home, I'll throw you some pics of an externally wicked vertical in an MT.

took the cotton from the middle and filled the jucewell with it, took a little extra cotton trew the coils and tucked the ends under the other cotton :) works great now and sooo much wicking for alot of juce :D

Tryed to make one that looked kinda like yours, not realy but its a vertical sentered coil, 0.63 ohm wraped around a 3mm flathead. also tried something different with the wicking too :)

Excellent! That's a nice job. Try a horseshoe wick, too. From the deck, up through one coil, across and down through the other, then back to the deck...
