My First Build!

2.2 ohm coil. 30 g kanthal, cotton wick, I think ten wraps. kayfun lite + 2nd batch. I tried it first with ekowool but I kept getting a burnt taste. I'm using my mvp 2 and vaping 503's Cherry Bomb. Nice sized vape cloud. The flavor is incredible.

Super happy vaper here! I still have cig cravings, but vaping-the hobby, the act, and the community-has seen me through thus far. Vape on!

We have been hanging on to our discards to play a bit with rebuilding what we can.

It sounds like a hobby that may replace more, or even add value never before seen, to a partial tobacco habit and one serious pack a day habit.

I've been reading that ~1.5 is a good Ohms for the KFL+ though I haven't tried it yet as I can't decide on which one to get, but leaning towards the EHpro clone. Your MVP2 should be able to handle that resistance, I've gone to 1.3 with mine.

I honestly haven't figured out how to tweak Ohms and builds yet. I've watched soooo many youtube tutorials and read soooo many threads here it makes my head swim. I thought the best way to learn was to try it out. I was worried that I might break something if I went for a low Ohm so I decided to *go* big.

I normally build 1.2 to 1.5 in any Kayfun/Kayfun Clone... Micro Coils with cotton. I just make sure that my cotton wick is not to tight in the coil as it sometimes can choke it off reducing the amount of liquid that can be drawn into the coil. Less liquid = burnt taste

im really tempted to stop and buy a kayfun tonight. just not sure about it. I have 2 aspire nautilus, 2 protank 2s, 2 t3s, and an igo-w. all of which are used on my provari 2.5 and my vtr. would the kayfun produce more flavor than the nautilus? ive yet to build a coil but have all the tools on hand. ive been buying a little bit of everything just in case.

You HAVE to! Probably my best purchase. I found that I get the most flavor at .9 ohms on a mech mod.

The kayfun really does amp up the flavor. I have a nautilus [that doesn't leak n gurgle (I've moaned n groaned about my first)] and protank 2 as well. I will definitely be saving my kayfun for my fave juices n home use, followed by my nautilus, with my protank 2 close behind.

ok, bought the kayfun light plus yesterday. didn't get a chance to build yet because I went to the florida Georgia line concert but will build tonight after I clean it. cant wait to try it out.

Thinner wire and more wire (more wraps and\or higher diameter) for higher resistance and the opposite for lower.
