My first complaint at work. Juice odor

After a month of vaping I just had someone complain about the odor from my vaping.

Let me start out by saying I work in a state prison. Most of my time vaping at work is in close quarters with my co-workers. Until now, there have been only slight comments on the odor from various juices. Most have been someone walking in and catching a slight whiff and asking "oooooh what smells good" Mostly from vanilla and other sweet juices.

That is untill this week. I just received an order of RY4 from alt smoke. At home when I tried it I knew it was a slightly stronger aroma than any of the other dozen liquids I purchased. I absolutely loved it. So the next day I loaded up a new duel coil carto with it and off to work. At work I screwed on the carto and got a huge fresh hit and blew a huge cloud of vapor out. ( I usually try to be a little more stealthy). All of a sudden the comments came from my co workers, saying it wasnt the usual pleasant smell they have been noticing.

Has anyone else had a situation like this??

My fiance often complains about the odor of the juice I'm using making her sick... Says it's too sweet smelling. I usually just switch to something else for a bit then switch back to the sweet-smelling one and she doesn't notice.

I don't notice it at all when at home. And I've asked some non-smoking friends to let me blow the vapor at them and asked if they could smell it. Usually, they say they can't smell it at all. One time, a friend said he could, but that it wasn't strong and it wasn't annoying.

When I walk into Vaporesence, where people vape all day long and they have a whole bunch of juice bottles out where people can try them, there is a very strong sweet smell, much like walking into an ice cream shop. But that's a pretty extreme situation.

My daughters everday vape is a different juice than I use, from a different vendor.
I have to roll the window down in the truck, when she is vapes that flavor and brand.

I do NOT like the way it smells, even with me a heavy vaper.

Different smells effect people differently, just like taste does.

So my daughter tries to make sure she has a different carto and juice
that does not bother me, out of love and respect, when she rides with me.
As well as the fact she got tired of walking home.

Maybe when the nose smells a smell it had never smelt before it imagins it to be a smell as close to one that the brain knows about . Sort of a smelling memory .

I was paranoid at first. I kept asking my girlfriend if my vaping made the house stink, which it doesn't. To put it into perspective, we got in her car to go to dinner last night, and she lit up a cig. The smell was pretty bad. I used to not be able to smell her smoking like that. This time it was like an old cigarette .... shoved right up my nose when she lit up.

I've had a few tobacco juices that stink reall bad.
I've had DK(tab) from 2 different vendors (1 was DK, the other was the vendor's own make to be similar). Just the open bottle made me cringe.
The people in my house were like "what was that? its nasty" when I vaped it.

Another vendor I tryed, had several tobaccos, reg, menthol, and Honey Cured.
Got complaints when I vaped any one of them, which made me sad, as I kinda liked the Honey Cured

I know what you mean. I really notice the smell from my roommates now, but fortunately they've each ordered a PV of their own, and hopefully it will take and the analogs will stop! I notice it at work too; I still go out w/my smoking buddies, but the smell coming back in is not pleasant (didn't notice it before when I was still smoking!).

i know what you mean about the smoke smell now ive smoked for yrs and now i cant stand the smell

I haven't developed a sensitivity to analog smell yet, though they do stink to me now. Just not enough for me to complain about them. Because I'm an ex-smoker I let people smoke in my office but make them haul the ashtray away when they're done. As far as my vapes go, my wife (who is a non smoker) remarks on different flavors I vape (mostly strong tobacco like RY5 or Wyatt Earp from FSUSA). If I vape a 555 or Gamel from Alien she doesn't notice.

Had an electrician in my house ask me what I was baking once, thought it was funny.

love the avatar Sedateme, but I wouldn't recommend trying to tell a conservative that Obama is little different than Bush... O definitely got his nose from his mother's side or that photo morph might not have worked. oops, I guess I derailed the thread. Scary, not that much had to change on either picture, I wonder if they are actually related. Maybe the white side of Obama's family was supposed to get into skull and bones, but couldn't because of race, so they snuck Obama into the presidency anyway, to make up for it.

Everyone in my house like the smell of my vapes. Most are sweet, some they can't smell at all. I think they are just happy I'm not making their clothes smell like an ashtray. lol

I did get one juice that none of us can stand the smell of. It's Pooh's Honey from Titan I think. The inhale and exhale taste great, just like fresh honey. But the juice itself smells like a public toilet and the vapor smells like a public toilet on fire.
I gave it to my sister, she likes it and doesn't think it smells bad at all. Then again, she has cats and refuses to spend money on the "good" cat litter. LOL

I think I must have spilled a little of it in the wooden box I keep my supplies in cuz I keep smelling it. Ugh

I vape a combination of floral, fruit, and sweet juices. I vape Boba's at home.

I work front desk at a hotel, and pierce at a local tattoo shop where I have my own station/"office." Needless to say, I have never heard any comments from co-workers at the latter.

At my front desk job, my co-workers have never complained and one is actually quite fascinated with my PV's and interested to "smell" my different juices. She says the florals smell fresh, like good fabric softener. The sweets usually all smell like waffles to her, regardless of flavor. The fruits don't really have a smell, in her opinion. She's a coffeeholic and an avid diet Coke drinker, so her favorite vapes of mine are coffee and soda flavors.

I never really vape tobacco flavors, and when I do it's 555 or Boba's, which I've heard smell nutty and like bananas respectively. But those are usually my at-home vapes.

My vanilla tobacco reminds people of a vanilla custard. It's what I use most of the time, zero complaints.

Ive been complimented on the smell of my juice at home because its like a constant air freshener. At work i really stealth vape to the max, so my coworkers think i have a major sweet tooth. haha
