Does vaping indoors create lingering odors or film?

Just reading through this thread its funny that some are seriously concerned about this. Think back to when you smoked. Did you really care that you smelled like .... 100% of the time?

Yes! Yes, I did! Especially lately, which is one of the main reasons I started vaping. I was so sick of the smell in my house and clothes and car, and cleaning and air freshening all the time.

I have so much more time on my hands now.

I haven't smoked an analog in my car for over a month and I am still trying to get the brownish haze off the interior glass from it.

Try vinegar. I used it to clean everything, and it does a good job. It also absorbs odors, kind of like a natural Febreeze. You can spray it on furniture, rugs, curtains, car seats, and when it evaporates it takes the odors with it. No vinegar smell remains once it evaporates.

(You can clean the inside of your microwave this way, too. Small bowl of vinegar, heat it up for 30 seconds or so. Leave it in there for a few minutes, and then just wipe clean. No chemicals in your microwave!)

LOL.....a good friend of mine analog chain smokes in his computer room and everything looks like it has been sprayed with maple syrup...YUCK!!!! not to mention the horrible smell. I'll convert him soon enough and he'll join the wonderful vaping world!!!!

Good luck! And get him some vinegar, too!

I do notice a mild film that builds up on my windshield and windows of my car. Usually only in the winter, and I am a home care nurse, so I work out of my car. I vape an average of 3.5 ml of 70/30 pg/vg, and usually have at least 2-3 hours of drive time per day. But my car is small (for the gas mileage) and I don't notice any lingering odors. Unlike what it smelled like when I smoked a ppd in the same car- that was disgusting!
My husband (a rabid anti smoking, never smoked person) will sometimes walk into my office while I am chain vaping while reading this forum! and ask if I have a candle burning though :D
I vape diy blackberry champagne- pretty much the only ejuice I have used for the past 3 months.

I guess he doesn't notice the PV glued to your lips, and all the ejuice bottles scattered around your keyboard?

believe it or not, I only have one 10 ml bottle on my desk, and use a 5v box mod that he 'studiously' ignores (its funny). I usually put it down on my desk when he starts to walk in and double inhale the vape, so that I don't exhale clouds. We have been married for 24 years, known each other for 36, and this actually keeps the peace. I don't smell like cigs, I still get to have my nic, and I no longer have to go out in the cold to have my fix. I don't vape in front of him, and didn't smoke in front of him either.
His mom smokes and he hates it (me too, it smells), and even she doesn't smoke in front of him. He isn't a bad person, and not preachy or nasty about the stuff, but he really does not like it at all. He is happy I'm not smoking anymore, though.

I have really simplified my vaping, and use just the one juice, the box mod with a boge carto, a charger and 2 sets of batteries. my diy stuff lives in a drawer of my plastic file cabinet under my desk. I mix up 120ml of my blackberry champagne and leave that in with my supplies, and refill the small bottle when needed. So I guess that means I am an atypical vapeist- I really don't have tons of stuff.
Vape Happy! :vapor:

It looks like I'm in the minority, but I have noticed an odor both in my car and when I open the box that I keep my juices in. It's hard to describe it-it's certainly not as bad as cigarette smoke, but it's annoying.

Interesting. "Hard to describe" - but can you try. Like sweaty socks? Like rotten eggs? Like stale bread? Like sun tan lotion? Like something many might be familiar with. PG or VG? Or both? Has anyone else commented on odor of your car? Can you remove the odor - if so - how. Any film on windshield noticed? Anything noticed on clothing? What flavor of e-liquid are you using? Does odor vary with flavor used? Rate cig orors from 1 to 10 with 10 most annoying. Rate annoyance of odors from e-cig from 1 to 10.

Tacoma Wa,
My nose is pretty good. In one vaping store i go to i smell nothing.. but the other larger one i can smell sweetness sometimes.. but everyone is vaping all day long in the stores ..and the larger store has more people who shop there. so that may explain it.
I don't smell or see anything at home though.

At work i do smell things that remind me of how it smells while vaping ...maybe a vaper walked by? humm
