My First DIY - Big Thank You to This Forum

I mixed my first four DIY batchs (5 ml each) last night and tried them tonight. Two of them are awesome! I'm so happy with my results that I'm already planning time this weekend to make bigger batches. Thank you to all the wonderful folks on this forum! I've read so many threads, subscribed, made notes, took screen shots, started a file with ideas, made sure the places I purchased supplies were recommended by this forum and finally did my first mixing last night.

A big thank you to tc1 and markophonic for the ideas I used in my first success.....
24 mg nic 50/50 PG/VG
Double RY4 at 6%
Caramel at 3%
Bavarian Cream at 3%
Vanilla (Bourbon) at 1%

I don't know who to thank for my second success because I forgot to add the user name in my notes, but I mixed....
24 mg nic 50/50 PG/VG
Double RY4 at 10%
Cotton Candy (because I didn't have EM crystals) at 1%
Acetyl Pyrazine at 0.3%

Did a quick steep last night in a container of hot water, shook each like crazy several times and managed to wait until tonight to try them out.

I never could have navigated my way through the DIY world without all the excellent information on this forum. Thank you!

I hear great things about that Double RY4.. I can't wait to try it!

Congrats on your DIY success. Can you mix up a couple batches and let them steep for a few days? Might help the subtle notes of the flavors come out a little more!

That's my plan, we'll see how it works out...LOL. I've showed great restraint tonight and put both bottles back in the cabinet to steep some more.

The Double RY4 is great. I think you'll enjoy it!

Lots of fun! I'm finding it tough to be patient and give the juices the time needed, it is surprising what just a few days will do. Another nice thing about having the DIY flavors around is being able to change a store bought flavor into something a little different, I modified a Highbrow Orange de Sangre which by all accounts was a great pure orange flavor, but for me a little too much, so I add little Bavarian Cream and Sweet Cream to taste and now it's a Creamsicle which I would love to replicate from scratch
