Well i would rather overkill it than make myself sick with a spill or splash. The mask is because a mucous membrane (mouth and nose) will absorb a nic splash that much quicker.

The caps are because i have have dandruff and dont want it in my juice :p

Im a biology major too but ive been refreshing my chem for just this occasion.

I don't blame you a bit really... it is far better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not
have it... likewise, it is far better to be prepared and not have to need it than to have something bad
happen and not be prepared.

I have been acting on hope and luck and a touch of stupidity  because although I have gloves
and glasses, I have not been wearing them... I think I better start because all it takes is a slight Oops
and I might hear sirens and see pretty red lights.

As for my last testing on that 30ml... I must have made an error in calculation because I retested again
a few minutes ago and I got 21.5mg -- I must have read it wrong and thought it said 27mg -- I was quite
tired and my eyes weren't sharp last night so I may have seen the 21 as a 27.

So - that is more like it... I can deal with 21.5mg because I am used to using 24mg -- but I do know it had
to be a bit high before I added more PG and VG because after about 10 minutes puffing on it last night, I
was getting a slight headache.

@ Unc1987 -- I started out with 18mg which is about average for most sellers and most people
when they begin because - from what I have read - that is about the average for a pack of
cigarettes.
I found myself using about 1 to 1 1/2 ml a day but really didn't feel like I was getting much...
for one thing, I had been making my own cigarettes for years - Full Flavors with Bulk tobacco
and pre-filtered Tubes... so, I upped the Nicotine to 24mg and have been very happy with that.
I have been using 24mg for over 3 months now and I am happy with it. If I ever have a desire
for a cigarette (and that is seldom), I just take a couple puffs of my e-cig and I am good to go. :)

In case you are asking about higher nic levels for personal use... I would not suggest anyone up
their nicotine too much too fast though. Going from a low nic to a much higher strength could
cause problems.

A Neighbor uses cartridges that are only 4mg and she says that is fine for her but she had been
smoking Ultra Lights before she started using an e-cig... I said "4mg seems pretty low doesn't it?"
But then I remembered she was smoking low nic cigarettes anyway.

@ JimmieLee -- DIY is fun but be very careful and make sure you get help or follow guides if you
have questions or are in doubt -- Also, make sure you get a test kit and test accurately because
you don't want to make mistakes or have accidents in DIY.

Always remember - the Nicotine is the most dangerous thing you are working with and the levels
of nicotine you get On or In you can be dangerous if too much.

Be Aware - No Distractions - Keep Track - Don't Forget What Was Added - Pay Attention -
Respect It - Work Safely - Wear Safety - Test and Re-test....... all those things can help keep
you safe :)

I still have a lot to learn but I like learning about stuff like this :)

I was in there measuring a mix tonight and my wife called me a Geek
I said "What... it's Science and Fun :) "
She said "GEEK!"
I was like - "Yeah, well... You Love a Geek!" lol
