I won't be able to buy anything till February, but I'm getting ready to start buying stuff for diy. I'm super excited. As a retired chef, this seems like the perfect new hobby. Mixing components to create flavors = FUN! :)

My plan is to get 120ml of 18mg from Wizard Labs. I vape under 2ml a day at 24mg, but I'd like to vape more without overdoing the nicotine. I'm also moving to another island in a few months - just to make my life a little bit easier, I don't want to ship over a stockpile. Once I move in and get settled, I'll start buying larger quantities of 100mg and dilute it myself. Even then, the plan is to dilute a bunch at once, so when I'm mixing flavors, that step won't even be part of the equation.

It seems the simplest way experiment with mixing flavors without getting a ton of new equipment is to just clean out the bottles I already have, put the nicotine solution in with my 5ml syringe, and use 1ml syringes for the flavors. Does that make sense?

Amazon.com: Vktech Plastic Dropping Bottles,5ml, 50 Pack: Beauty I'll get this after I move so I can do more at once. Syringe 1cc Luer Slip Tip Sterile (Pack of 10): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Also, 1 syringe per flavor.

Why are flavors so much cheaper from WL? 8ml for $1.50 vs 4ml for $1.40. Am I missing something?

Do the artificial sweeteners taste like diet sweeteners? I'm not a huge fan. If so, does someone have a recommendation for a more natural sugar type?

Which "cream" do you think is best for adding body?

I'm sure I'll have a million more questions. :)

Welcome to the club.

Taste is very subjective so what cream taste the best only your taste buds will know for sure.

Start with a sweet cream and Beverian cream also look into cream combos such as choclate cream etc..

As far as sweeteners EM or just plain old sweetener are artificial but I don't taste the artificial taste when vaping like you do when adding it to a drink.

I'll recommend some reading for you.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

If you plan on vaping 18mg as your final product, I wouldn't buy your nicotine at 18mg. When you add 10-20% flavoring, that'd bring it down to 14-16mg. Then there's the issue about not being able to tweak the PG/VG ratio. If you bought 50/50 it wouldn't be as much an issue, but you'd still be locked into 1 ratio. The norm is to have your nic base, then separate bottles of straight PG and VG. I feel like you'd be better off getting maybe 36mg nic base, and then you can have some room to tailor the mix w/ varying amounts of PG & VG.

I like FlavourArt Fresh Cream it's the one I use the most.

Read your blogs already. Thanks! They're very helpful. I'll start with the bavarian and fresh cream and try others one I'm not trying to keep stuff to a minimum. Good to hear it about the sweeteners. I've developed a sweet tooth for the first time since I quit smoking. :)

What's funny is that I already knew this but almost forgot to take it into account anyway. Thanks for the reminder! I'll go with the 24mg so I can puff away and not get OD. I'm trying to avoid buying anything extra for now, so I won't have separate PG/VG to add. I know I like 100%VG well enough so it'll be fine for now, although I do prefer a mix. That'll happen in May.

I'm leaning towards chocolate, brandy and coffee, plus sweetener and cream. It's a flavor combination I'd be happy to vape all day every day (I mostly do already with the premade stuff over the past 4 months, my other bottles are gathering dust), and if I mix it in tiny batches, focusing on tweaking just one recipe, I should have awesomeness by the time I move. Of course, then I'll have to try ALL the chocolates, creams, etc... but it'll give me something to do. :)
