Finally the Review: Grab a cup of coffee.
I finally quit procrastinating and bought my first E-Cig starter kit from Vapor4Life. I purchased the KR808D-1 Ultimate XL Kit, which included- 2 xl manual batts, usb & wall charger, manual passthrough, free 5 pack of the Sampler tobacco CoolCarts 8mg. I also purchased a pack of Wow VG 555 11mg.- Wow VG Cowboy 8mg, Premium PG 555 Coolcarts 8mg Cartos. I dont know where I need to be on the mgs, but I did some math and figured I need to be somewhere in the 6-11mg area. All of this including my smilin discount for $93.30. I priced the cheaper KR8 kits also, then added on the extras such as passthroughs etc, it all came out to V4L to be $10 more, but with the smilin discount it put them at only $5 more, which was a no brainer.
Ordering & Receiving: went smoothly, or so I thought. When my receipt came I noticed I forgot to select the manual batt and color. In my account I went to change the order but it was already in processing, I then panicked and opened up 2 service tickets followed by emails, and a chat request. Tim from V4L was really quick to change my order and send me an email telling me. He probably thought I was a nut. Placed my order on Tuesday 2/15/11 at 6pm, received it on, Friday 2/18/2011 at 3pm. Very excellent. The Free Cartos I choose, Sampler tobacco was out of stock, they gave me a $7.50 gift card in its place. Pretty cool. Next they gave me 4 free Cartos, WOW Wild Cherry Cordial 11mg, WOW Peppermint Ice Cream 11mg, WOW French Vanilla Ice Cream 18mg, Cool Carts Cappuccino 18mg. Way cool. I now have enough different strengths to determine which is right for me.
Friday- 3:30pm- Opening the little Black Box: oooooh, how cute everything Is, my blue batts are really shinny. (its a woman thing) I expected the XL batts to be heavy but they are pretty darn light weight, and very thin. Directions say to charge for 8 hours the first time; the light was green within an hour. I followed the instructions to the letter, even though I wanted to jump on it right then and there! LOL!
The first battery lasted me 36 hours before draining. The first carto lasted me 6 days. I guess Im not a heavy vapor.
Passthrough: Works great. Nothing else needs to be said.
Cartos & Taste:
1) WOW VG Cowboy 8mg- First hit, not much flavor, 4th hit tastes a little like tobacco, very light. Reminds me of a Marlboro Ultra light with an ever so slight sweet thing going on, very pleasant. I also find by holding the manual button down for a second before I vape, creates more vapor, gets hotter. This carto lasted me 6 days, I attribute it to my work days as I dont carry the e-cig with me. I expect this would change on weekends.
2) WOW VG 555 11mg- First hit, definitely a bigger TH, takes about 6 puffs to kick in. Flavor is
Kinda Hazelnut. It feels more solid than the Cowboy 8mg. Not crazy about the flavor, but I cant afford to waste any. This carto only lasted 4 days as two of those days were the weekend.
3) Cool Carts- PG Cappuccino- 18mg. Not as much vap, not as sweet as VG, tastes better, tastes
Like cappuccino, yet like a smooth pipe tobacco. TH seems pretty decent.
I have other cartos to try and will post back. My experience with V4L (Tim) was awesome, my equipment is working A-OK. Im very happy with my first kit and highly recommend it & V4L to anyone and everyone. I hope I covered everything and it is helpful to other noobies.
