Just got a 901 from pillbox and think it's quite good. Can certainly see me giving up 'analog' cigs with this, maybe still have the odd cigar at weekends though.

Couple of questions, there is a hole on the side of the atomizer, should this be totally uncovered? I'm finding I get a better vapour if I put my thumb over it very lightly, will this shorten the life of the atomizer?

If I wash out the fibre in the cartridge and keep reloading it with some totally wicked will this save me having to buy more carts?

The little hole in the side is designed to bring the air over the atomizer. Covering it will drastically increase the draw required, AND overheats the atomizer. Every time I have accidentally covered mine, the e-cig gets real hot, and the juice tastes a little burnt.

I have seen a few posts of people saying they cover the whole for better vapor, but I don't think it's such a great idea.

As for the carts, you can wash the cart material in plain water, and refill. However, there is always some unused juice in a used cart. If you refill from "clean", you will be putting some juice in that will not be used. From what I have read in this forum, most people just continue to top off a used cartridge rather than cleaning it out. The only reason to wash the filler is if it gets a dark/sticky end on it, or if you are wanting to change strong flavors that would not mix well. I just read a post today from someone who has been topping off a single cart for 3 weeks. Can't say if thats the norm though.
