So I blew into the hipster realm with buying the "blu original starter pack". Mainly because I had no clue what I was getting into (only going by tv and their website). I am not saying I made a mistake, but I surely did not do the research I should've before I bought it!

Well I've been looking around and a bunch of vapor-enthusiasts like the joyetech brand of e-cigs. Looking into it the only product that I am into is the e-roll. I want one that isn't a hassle to carry around (being big and bulky) and something that is not going to stirr up a lot of talk.

What is everyone's opinions on the e-roll, and if you have different products to recommend, shoot!

I use the 510 penstyle with automatic batteries. The power in my batteries is about 280Mah and they're about 82mm long and 9mm in diameter. I use standard resistance boge cartomisers on this, as well as a drip tip. I have about 6 batteries (backups of backups) and I probably use about 3 a day, using 12mg juice (I vape between .5ml and 2.5ml a day). I also have a PCC for when I'm out and about although this is less of an issue with so many batteries!

I know there are many people who don't like the smaller PVs and cig-a-likes but I can say it works for me...I think I'm on something like 93 days with only one slip up (my 1TB hdd broke and I lost EVERYTHING- I've made posts about this elsewhere...).

Looking at the specs of that, I'd say it's smaller than even I'd be prepared to go for, and I'm anti big and bulky too! Could you give us some more information about your current smoking habits so we can have a better idea of where to pitch you at, please?x

Well first off, welcome nharmsen. Second, although I haven't owned or tried an e-roll, I'm sure you could do worse for a starter rig (like blu) ;). I think it comes down to how much you smoked throughout the day... the e-roll has a relatively small battery @ 90mAh whereas a base ego-T has a 650mAh battery without a "huge" change in size. You'll just get a fraction of battery duration w/ e-roll. I do like eGo for starters (that's what I bought and still use 4 months in - eGo-C though).

It depends upon what your expectations are for an e-cigarette. You mentioned size as your only criteria. How about battery duration? The e-rolls battery is only 90 mah, meaning it will last less than an hour between charges, and performance for any battery starts dropping as soon as you start using it unless it is a regulated battery. A battery that weak to begin with will have a marked drop in performance in half that time.

It does have the PCC that acts as a carry-about charger, but you'll need to put your battery in it immediately after each vape to keep it charged for use.

I'm admittedly not a fan of the cigarette sized batteries. Just throwing another idea out to you to consider: Why not get a small "mod" that uses replaceable, rechargeable batteries? The Gripper by Smoktech is only $16.
SMOKtech 18350 GRIPPER Mechanical - Black Rubberized [gv-SMOKGripper18350-BLACK] - $15.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

It uses an 18350 battery that cost $6 Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh, which would need a charger for $11 Battery Chargers : Xtar MP1S.

The Gripper uses a XL length cartomizer that can be found anywhere, which fits into the device for added stealth and a smaller footprint. You'd also need to get a drip tip mouthpiece for $3-5. That battery would last you 7-8 hours; carry a couple of extra charged batteries to cover the whole day.

Rachy_B, I only smoke socially/when I'm working on homework or doing a project. With blue (I believe they are 80-90mAh) I charge it 2-3 times a day. What is the difference between a drip tip vs a tank? Sorry to ask stupid questions!

cactus71, Like I said I am very new (I didn't even know it was called vaping *GASP* until now!). The small battery doesn't bother me as long as I have another one ready and I can put the used up one back on the PCC or charger. With the eGo-T versus the C series, I just noticed that you have to replace the entire atomizer and no just the "head". If you or someone else could give me more information on that it would be awesome! I do love the look of the kits though!

Sikko, Thank you for clarifying that for me! I am going to look into getting one of those starter kits, unless there are any objections. I will have to figure out the main difference between the eGo-T and eGo-C series.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the Blu (the flavor is good, but this is coming from someone who has only vapped with Blu).

Free ecigs has a nice 510-t kit for $18. I have it, it works well. I have "Big Batts", (Egos,Rivas) and mods too, but I do enjoy my small 510's on occasion. I have found I prefer to use a clearomizer, or cartomizer, on these. The tiny tank carts just don't seem to work well...

Great deal here, plus free shipping...

Drip tip: For all intents and purposes, just a name for a mouthpiece that fits on a cartomizer used alone, or on a cartomizer in a tank.

Tank: Usually refers to a cartotank, but can also refer to any juice delivery device that holds an appreciable amount of e-liquid that is clear so that you can see the level of juice. Ie clearomizer, vivi nova clearomizer tank.

Rachy_B, Are you happy with your 510? I'm 80% leaning towards the 510-T, I like the look and it has the PCC that I really want.

I love my 510 but I was never overly keen on the tank system as you've to replace the atomisers. People told me you could clean them but I never quite got the hang of it. That's just me though. Using a 510 battery on a standard residence cartomiser (like a cartridge, or an atomiser and tank all in one) does it for me. Cartomisers and drip tips (the mouth pieces) could come later if you find the same thing as me with the atomiser. I've got a friend who WAS a really light smoker and uses a 510 and has been cig free since the beginning of December too. The price of a 510 is usually good (shop around!) and if you don't need something huge, don't waste your money on it. I would, however, get a spare battery or two as it's always good to have backups!x
