He means closer to the edge of the atomizer not so close it touches the cap . I dont keep my coils that close to the edge but most folks do . I find it can mess up my air intake
I like mine close to the edge, too. I have also found that the less wick, the better. So what if you have to squonk more, the wicking just seems to work better.
I think your build looks alright. Don't know about the "sponge" piece behind the coil though. It will cause the juice to rise, and the coil will be in a damn of juice. The juice needs to run back down into the bottle when it saturates the coil. Looks good though. Great job

It's such as forgiving atty, you'll find most every build will give you a good vape, but if you did want to experiment I'd agree with moving it out closer to the edge and maybe trying a touch less wick (both less thickness, and short tails). Play with moving it up and down, too, and you'll discover how that effects throat hit and vapour production. It's all about you and getting your preferences dialled in.

So what do I do if I want a colder vape? Not fun to get hot lips expecting a nice vape! I did 6 circles on the coil. Should I do more?

1 more wrap should take to about 1.23.
2 more should take close to 1.3

Oh and I'm using 28 gauge Kanthal wire
I didn't use a drill bit. I went Avail Vapor in town and they helped me learn. I used one of their tiny screwdrivers. I think it was a 0. Not sure of the size. I need to get to the store to buy a 1/16 drill bit so I have it in the future.
