Hello everyone, My name is Michael. I live in Phoenix, AZ and i'm 19 years old. I am a marlb red smoker and up until Monday averaged a ppd. I have indulged in all forms of tobacco at one point or another besides nasal snuff. It's safe to say i'm a nicotine fiend, and truly enjoy tobacco. Now when I say I truly enjoy tobacco it is not the cigs (just smoke for the nic) what I mean is I am a type of person that will get lost in a good cigar shop humidor for hours, or spend days looking at different brier pipes online. And when I say i'm a nicotine fiend, i'm the type of person that will smoke 2 cigs on a break knowing that I won't be able to for a few hours. First thing in the morning and last thing before bed you guessed it.. cig. Now that you have an idea of my previous tobacco usage, understand I have tried to quit cold turkey twice (longest 6 days).

This last Monday I thought i'd try an Njoy King. They had been catching my eye at the corner store where I buy my smokes. A fancy display had recently showed up and I noticed they were selling faster then some of the tobacco brands even. So I picked up the bold got home finished my last 3 smokes and started to vape. I was truly caught off guard by the throat hit as I expected it to be nowhere as close. Instantly hooked. Wow it was great no nasty smells, no going outside, and best of all I could take as many puffs as I wanted at anytime. Then it happened... that flashing light! No way this is 2 packs! I've been scammed!

Being the type of person I am, I instantly started researching as much and everything I could about this issue and others experiences. Boy I had no idea that I was about to sign up for a 2 day ecig study. One link led to another which led to another.. Atomizers, mods, vv, ohm to volt charts, GrimmGreen, what ejuices not to put in polycarbonate tanks.. So much info coming all in at once! anyways.. 5 Njoykings an 1 blu disposable later here I am still waiting for my 2 orders to come in. One from mt baker and the other from vaporvalley(thanks ECF for coupon codes). Here is my haul from vaporvalley: The new Itaste MVP silver (no black left :glare:) kit with EGO threading, Kanger pro tank, 10 replacement protank heads (5-2.2 ohm 5-2.5 ohm), and a 16 mg nic strength 10ml cinnamon roll ejuice I threw in for the over 100 free shipping :p. My Mtbaker haul is a little smaller (all 15 ml): 18 mg strength monster with 2 flavor shots, 18 mg strength extreme ice (only one I went 50/50 instead of the 80/20 pg/vg on the rest), and 24mg strength rose tobacco. My plan is to use the protank as my all time vape and my 2 iclear 16s in the mvp kit as my tasters.

Now, as always there's the kicker. My mom was out of state this week for work and as you know smokes prices vary greatly by state. So she came home tonight and says "hey Mikey, I picked up this carton for you like you asked about". Boom! how could I forget, I told her to try and pick one up?! So now I have a carton of cigs in my room and yes I've been smoking tonight. It hurt a little bit money wise to since I just placed my vapor order and forgot about the smokes expense. So finale to the story I am going to switch from smoking to vaping, and my mom understands. Were going to see if any coworkers wanna buy the smokes and if not oh well. I've already justified the worst case scenario of smoking the sticks by telling myself "well good thing ejuice has a shelf life of a year, and besides smoking this carton will let the juices steep . In all seriousness though these forums have been a great help and I look forward to joining this awesome vaping community. vaping tomorrow or vaping a carton from now i'll be seeing all you around.

Hey Michael,
Another "Valley" person here- I went to Zikwid which is behind Sushi 101 on University and Rural Rd, they have a pretty amazing staff there. I think they have the small cartridge ones that look like cigarettes there, (not the cheap brand stuff at other stores--- I've tried those and gotten either bum ones or ones that just didn't perform so I went with the one that looks more like a... wand?) I dont know what that style is generally called but the brand was Joyetech eGo-T. It looks more like a wand, and I've vaped on it all day long and my liquid has barely budged.

A breakdown on what I spent
The initial "kit" should last me anywhere from 1.5-3 weeks appx, and was $62 total (including the longer battery (rechargeable by USB) and a lanyard that holds it around my neck) That's a carton of smokes to me in 1 week (slightly heavy smoker here), so that was a nobrainer for me.

My refills and atomizers should last about 2 weeks if I understood her, and will be about $14.00 every other week, so after 2 weeks, when I start in on only refills and replacing the atomizer occasionally, I'll be way far ahead.

Hope that helps?

Right on, i'm glad that ego is working for you from what iv'e seen they make some solid equipment. I actually called zikwid before i placed my order to see if they had the Itaste MVP before I ordered online since I like to support b&m stores. Unfortunately they did not. They actually have a store in Glendale aswell. If anything the whole price thing is motivation enough. With all the gear I got and a good amount of ejuice to start with for the price of what I normally spent on smokes in a month. It's a no brainer.

It's a box mod here is a pic iTaste MVP 003.jpg

I don't mind it being nothing like a cig, the most important thing for me was battery life and quality. I've read this device lasts most people two days of regular use before a charge is needed. You can also change the voltage output on it which basically changes how hot you vape your juice, which changes the amount of vapor and the taste. I can also use it to charge other things like say my cell phone while i'm out of the house. And it's build real well out of metal. I prefer metal over plastic.
