My first go at twisted kanthal

I made my first twisted kanthal microcoil today. I used 30GA wire and twisted it with a drill until it was like a guitar string, effectively making it one wire with more surface area. 6/5 wraps, .9 ohms, cotton wick. I would say it delivers a warmer, stronger vape with increased TH compared to a 28GA monowire(?) with the same resistance. Flavor isnt what I would call more intense, however it tastes more "full bodied" if that makes sense (I compared with the same juice, both on cotton). The biggest difference is the sensation of denser, heavier vapor with more TH. I dont know how else to describe it. I am still trying to decide if it is worth the extra effort.

Nice one! My first 100ft of kanthal I bought was 32gauge and did the same thing as
you, twisting two lengths together to get more wraps/surface area But I'm waiting
on the arrival of a few different other gauges any day now before I can compare

I wonder if you are getting more vapor because some of the liquid is wicking between the twisted wire.
