I think this thread has given birth to a new modder! My 24 year old son saw the photo on my screen when he walked by and was excited to see what he called a "spark plug". Now he's reading up on mods. Now how do you keep the spark plug look, but make it safe?

My first homemade mod (ok, it had a wire, too!) was a battery with a switch soldered to the positive battery terminal (on the bottom; the battery was "upside down)

On the top I peeled off some of the shrink-wrap, and used a hose clamp to attach a 510 adapter. Soldered a wire from the switch to the center of the 510 adapter.

Worked great until I burned a hole in my pocket when I sat down! (Needed some kind of lock on the switch!) (Wasn't the battery, it was the atty getting very hot!)
